ما أصعبَها لحظة... لحظة أفتقدُ فيها الأخَ الوفيّ، رفيقَ النضال ومحفّزَ الفرحِ في أحلكِ الظروف...

ما أشقاها وقفة... وقفةٌ أفتقدُ فيها كتفَ الصديق، أتّكئُ عليها، فتُخفّف عنيّ الآلام و تُنسيني الأحزان...

صديقي ايلي اشتقتُ إليك... اشتقتُ الى عنفوانِك الجامح الى نبرتِك المستفزّة الى حماستِك الفريدة...

اشتقتُ الى شهامتِك التي أدْمَتْ قلبي يومَ استهدافك بالمتفجّرات، حين دَعَوْتَ القَتَلة الى النأْيِ عن الشامخ الثائر، عن تلك الشائكة، وتحدَّيتَهم مُواجهتَي أنا والتوجُّهَ إليا أنا...

ربماّ كانت لوعةُ فقدانِك فارَقَت لحظةً وُجداني، ربماّ كُنْتُ نجحتُ في لملمةِ دموعي كلّما لامسَ ذِكْرُ إسمِك مسمعي...

يا للملاقاةِ قدرِك البطل ، فشاء القدرُ أن تكون صورتُك في الصورةَ الأخيرةَ لك وأنت تعُجُّ بالحياةِ والحماسِ والحنان...

وأنْ تبقى صورتُك في ذاكرتي، تلك الصورة التي أريْتَني إياّها، حرّاً، شامخاً، ممتطياً صهوةَ حب لبنان، لا قيودَ تُكبّلُك ولا معوقاتٍ تعترضُ سبيلَك... كنت فخوراً أنكّ تمكّنت من ذلك العظيم المشرئِبّ، فروّضتَه كما روّضْتَ قبلَه سياسيين كُثُر حاولوا التمرّدَ على ما آمنتَ به فكسرتَهم بحماستِك...

ما أقساها لحظة أستذكرُ فيها رفيقَ الحواراتِ الجريئة صبيحةَ الراحة واستراحة المحارب...

لحظة، أستحْضِرُ فيها تلكَ النظرةَ الثاقبة، نظرةَ الثائرِ الذي يَتحدىّ الدنيا قاطبةً أنْ تتطلّعَ الى عينيْه و تجرؤَ أنْ تقولَ له أنّه ليس على حقّ...

وكَمْ كُنتَ على حقّ...

ماذا عسايَ أقولُ في الذكرى العاشرة لغيابِك...

ماذا عسايَ أقولُ للقتلة الذين حرمونا نَبَضَ كلماتِك كُلّما دقّتْ ساعةُ الحقيقة...

أأقولُ لهُم نعَم، لقد نِلْتُم من الجسد و فجّرتم حِقْدَكُم، فكبّرتُم حجمَ متفجرَّتكم لتُبعثِروا ذلك الجسدَ الطاهرَ أشلاءَ في الوديان...

ربماّ نجحتُم في حرمانِنا عطفَ الأخ و حنانَ الصديق، لكنّكم فشلتُم في إسكاتِ الصوت الذي لا يزال "بيوديّ" حتى اليوم...

لم تهرِبوا و لنْ تهرِبوا من صدى كلماتِ الوزير الراحل شهيدنا البطل الرئيس ايلي حبيقة الصادقة...

نعم غيّبتُمُ الجسد، ولكنكّم لم تتمَّكَنوا من الروح، لم تسرِقوا منّا الحُلُم... اليوم كلُّنا ايلي حبيقة، اليوم كلُّنا عمل وتعب بدلاً من الراحة...

انظروا ايها المجرمون الى شبابِ ايلي حبيقة، حَّدقوا في العيون، استمِعوا الى الحناجر...

كلُّهم لم يتسرّبْ اليهم النسيان، كلُّهم يهتُفون ايلي حبيقة، كلُّهم زرعَ فيهم ايلي حبيقة حبَّ لبنان، كلُّهم علّمَهم أنَّ التقوقُعَ والتخاذلَ ليسا من شِيَمِ الشجعان ...

ايلي ... بعضُهم نَسَوْا و بعضُهم تَناسوْا، أماّ أنا، أماّ نحنُ عائلةُ ايلي حبيقة الكبيرة وعائلتُه الصغيرة، فلا وألفُ لا! لمْ ولنْ ننسى... كيف ننسى؟؟؟؟

عندما نَدُرَ الشُجعان في عهدِ الهيمنةِ والطغيان، خُضْتَ المعاركَ الاشرس ضدَّ الاحتلالِ وسياسةِ كمِّ الافواه وكان سلاحُك الفتّاك العمل والتعب و حب لبنان ...

أتذكّرُ عندما قلت: "نحن مؤمنون بلبنان وطناً نهائياً لجميع ابنائه وليس مقاطعة تابعة لسوريا أو اسرائيل أو خطأ في معاهدة سايكس بيكو".

يومَها لم يسمع بشّار الأسد، أتُراهُ يَسمعُ اليوم؟ هل يُشاهِدُ بشّار الاسد هديرَ الثورات؟ هل يُدركُ ماذا اقترفت يداه؟ هل هو فعلاً مقتنعٌ بما قالَه من أنْ ليس له قوات مسلحةّ و لا علاقةَ له بالمجازر التي تحُصدُ العُزّل الأبرياء في لبنان ؟ هل هو تذاكٍ ؟ هل هي حالةُ نكران؟ أم هو تَنَصُّلٌ خوفاً من عواقبِ اتهّامِه بجرائمَ ضدّ الانسانية؟

من تَجاهَلَ يوماً النداءَ الصادقَ لم تَكُنْ مُشْكِلَتُه أنّه أطرش... فهو إبنُ بيئةٍ لم تتعوّدْ يوماً الاتعّاظَ من الأخطاء، هو إبنٌ وَرِثَ كلَّ الخصالِ غيرِ الحميدةِ عن أبيه، هو إبنُ هذا النظامِ البعثيِّ المتغطرسِ والمُجرمِ والدكتاتوري والإستعلائي والاستخباراتي... إبنُ تركيبةٍ غدّارةٍ تَخْطُفُ مَنْ لا يؤلِّهونها، تُلغي من لا يَستسلمون لها وتَقتُلُ من يُقاوِمونَها...

نعم، لقد أزْعَجَهُ شهيدنا البطل الرئيس ايلي حبيقة، أزعجَهُ كثيراً لأنهّ كشفَه على حقيقتِه عندما قالَ له:

"لا يُمْكِنُ أنْ نُصَدِّقَ أنَّ في سوريا سياستين، واحدةٌ للنظام وأُخرى لأجهزة المخابرات"....

اليوم يُريد بشّار أنْ يُقنعَنا "بأنّه شاهد ما شافشِ حاجة"... لكن الأيامَ تغيرّت! فحماه 1982 لم تعُد صالحة في عصر التقنيات الحديثة واليوتيوب... فإنْ كنتَ تَدْري يا بشّار فتلك مصيبةٌ، وإنْ كُنت لا تَدري فالمصبيةُ أعظمُ... في الحالتيْن النتيجةُ واحدة: إكتَفِ بما جَنَتْهُ يداك في سوريا بعدما جَنَتْهُ في لبنان، حيث خَطَفْتَ وقتَلْتَ أنتَ وأفرادُ عائلتِك وعملاؤك وأجهزتُك زهرةَ شبابِنا... فُكَّ عن كرسيِّك الذي نَخَرَتْ خشبَه صرخاتُ الأمهّات الثكالى... فُكَّ أنت ونظامُك عن صدرِ الشعبِ الحرّ، فربيعُ لبنان سيُزهر عاجلاً أم آجلاً بعدما أزْهَرَ ربيعُ العرب و بعدما تفتّحَت زهورُ ربيعِ بيروت، هذه الزهورُ التيٌ سقيْناها بدمائِنا

ما أشبهَ الأمسِ باليوم... نَصَحْتَهم ولم يتّعظوا. كشفتَهم فخَوّنوك، نبّهتَهم الى خطاياهم بحقِّ لبنان فأَلبسوك ثوبَ العميل وزغْرَدوا لاستشهادِك...

دماؤك يا ايلي حبيقة هي التي سرعتّ في تحويلِ ملفِّ اغتيالِ رفيق الحريري الى الأممِ المتّحدة، ليشملَ القضايا المرتبطة ...

أنا أكيد أنكّ تُشاركاني الرأيَ بأنَّ الكشفَ عمّن همُ وراءَ أيٍّ من الاغتيالاتِ ومحاولاتِ الاغتيال، يَرْوي غليلَنا ويُطمْئِنَنا الى أنَّ الحسابَ أتٍ ومنطقَ اللاّعقاب لن يعودَ السائد... فترتاحون في مثواكُم الأخير يا أصدقائي، يا كلَّ شهداء لبنان يا كلَّ الأحبّاءِ من دون استثناء...

فقد وعدتُك يا ايلي ووعدتُ أصدقاءَنا الشهداءَ أنْ أبقى صدى صوتِكم عندما يتخاذلُ الآخرون، وأنا اليوم فَرِحَ لأنّ عيوني ستشهدُ فرحةَ رؤيةِ سقوطِ الطغاةِ القتلة وأنظمتِهم البالية وانهيارِ امبراطورياتِ المتكابرين الذين لم يؤمنوا يوماً بالوطنِ الذي من أجلِه استشهدتُم مسيحيين ومسلمين....

فلْيَمُدَّني اللهُ بالعمرِ فقط لأشهدَ يومَ المحاكمة، لأراهُم من لباسِ العِفَّةِ يتعرّون وعلى وجوهِهم برمادِ الذُّلِ يلطمون

ايلي حبيقة افتدى لبنان واللبنانيين

إن الإنسان المؤمن بربه وبكتبه المقدسة وبتعاليمه وبموت وقيامة السيد المسيح لا يموت، بل يرقد على رجاء القيامة بانتظار يوم الحساب الأخير، والرب الذي وهب الإنسان نعمة الحياة هو وحده يقرر متى يستردها وليس أي مخلوق أخر.

اليوم ونحن نصلي في الذكرى التاسعة لروح الشهيد النائب والوزير الراحل ايلي حبيقة نردد بايمان وخشوع ووقار ما قاله النبي أيوب رغم كل المصائب التي حلت عليه فيما كان الشيطان يحاول جاهداً إيقاعه في التجربة دون أن يتمكن من أن يحقق هدفه اللعين هذا كون إيمان أيوب بربه كان قوياً وراسخاً: "عرياناً خرجت من بطن أمي، وعرياناً أعود إلى هناك، الرب أعطى والرب أخذ تبارك اسم الرب". (ايوب01/21).

يقول السيد المسيح: "أَنَا هُوَ الْقِيَامَةُ وَالْحَيَاةُ. مَنْ آمَنَ بِي، وَإِنْ مَاتَ فَسَيَحْيَا" (يوحنا 25/11). إن تعلقنا بلبناننا الحبيب حتى الشهادة يعزينا ويقوي إيماننا ويرسخ الرجاء في نفوسنا ويساعدنا على تقبل غياب الشهداء الأبرار برضوخ كامل لمشيئة أبينا السماوي فهم لا يموتون بل يبقون أحياء في وجداننا وضمائرنا وقلوبنا وعقولنا وفي كل عمل نقوم به يهدف لخدمة ومساعدة الآخرين الذين هم بحاجة إلينا.

يقول الشاعر: "ما استحق أن يعيش، من عاش لنفسه فقط". لذلك فالشخص المؤمن يجد لذته في أن يحيا لأجل غيره، عملاًً بقول الرب، "تحب قريبك كنفسك" (متى39/22). ولهذا يحب كل الناس من أعماق قلبه وتكون محبته للآخرين محبة عملية حسبما قال الرسول يوحنا: "يا أبنائي، لا تكن محبتنا بالكلام أو باللسان بل بالعمل والحق". (1يو18:3).

هذه المحبة العظيمة، والله هو محبة، تتميز بالعطاء والبذل والتفاني سواء من الناحية الجسدية، أو الناحية الروحية. لذلك فإن الشخص المؤمن والمعطاء والصادق هو بطبيعته إنسان نقي وتقي وشفاف وصادق ومحب يخاف الله الذي خلقه على صورته ومثاله.

هذا الإنسان يجهد بفرح كبير ليكون خادماً يخدم غيره في كل المجالات، لا لأنه مطالب بهذا، وإنما لأن الخدمة جزء من طبيعته ونفسيته وثقافته، ومكون أساسي من مكونات كيانه الإيماني. في خدمة الآخرين يشعر بالحب ويتغذى روحياً من تقديم الخدمات أكثر مما يغذي غيره بها. وإذا كانت الخدمة هي من عمل الملائكة (عبرانيين14:1)، فكم بالأولى البشر. وقد أعطانا السيد المسيح المثال الأبلغ في هذا الشأن إذ قال: "ومن أراد أن يكون الأول فيكم، فليكن لكم عبدا، وهكذا ابن الإنسان جاء لا ليخدمه الناس، بل ليخدمهم ويفدي بحياته كثيراً منهم". (متى 20/27 و28)

جاء في إنجيل القديس يوحنا (15/13): "ما من حب أعظم من هذا: أن يضحي الإنسان بنفسه في سبيل أحبائه". وقال الشهيد النائب والوزير الراحل ايلي حبيقة: "إن الوطن الذي لا يفتديه شبابه بأرواحهم لا يستمر ويزول. إن خدمة الآخرين وبذل الذات من أجلهم هي أعمال مقدسة والمسيح الإله قبل الصلب والعذاب والإهانات وقدم نفسه على الصليب فداء للإنسان ليعتقه من نير وعبودية الخطيئة ويحرره.

إن الشهيد لا يطلب شيئاً لنفسه من مقتنيات هذه الدنيا الفانية، وإنما يسعي لنيل بركات الله ليستحق بجدارة أفعاله وإيمانه العودة إلى منزل أبيه السماوي، والمسيح قال لنا: "ماذا ينفع الإنسان لو ربح العالم كله وخسر نفسه". (متى 16/26).

الشهيد هو قربان طاهر يقدم نفسه طواعية على مذبح الله بمحبة واندفاع وفرح من أجل أحبائه تماماً كما هو حال كل شهيد من شهداء لبنان الأبرار. عرفاناً بجميلهم نقول أنه وبفضل استشهادهم بقينا، وسوف نبقى بإذن الله طالما بقي الشباب اللبناني مؤمنا بلبنان وبرسالته وعلى استعداد تام ودائم للشهادة.

الشهيد النائب والوزير الراحل ايلي حبيقة لم يمت لأنه باق في كل جهد وعمل يقوم بهما أي لبناني من أجل الحفاظ على سيادة واستقلال وحرية وطنه الحبيب، ولصون كرامة وعزة اللبنانيين، كما أن عائلة حبيقة هي نبع معطاء لا ينضب في دفق الإيمان والوطنية والشهادة للحق والشهداء من أجل لبنان الرسالة والقداسة والقديسين.

نصلي من أجل أن يسكن الله روح الشهيد النائب والوزير الراحل ايلي حبيقة فسيح جناته إلى جوار البررة والقديسين وأن يلهم عائلته ومحبيه الصبر والسلوان

المسيحيون في الشرق:حبل الخلاص مع الراعي..تهجير المسيحيين تم على أيادٍ أميركية وإسرائيلية

بعد ان دهس 36 مواطنا قبطيا في مصر تحت دواليب المصفحات والمجنزرات اعلن قائد شرطة مصر للمتصل به من وزارة الداخلية المصرية «ان الوضع قد سوي والاجواء جيدة»، وفيما الاقباط يذبحون بعد ثورة كان من المفترض بها ان تفتح صفحة جديدة في تاريخ بلاد النيل واعطاء الحقوق للاقليات ولم يسمع صوت من لبنان يستنكر هذه المجزرة المنقولة عبر وسائل الاعلام حيث تولت الوسائل الاعلامية المصرية التحريض على القتل، في هذا الوقت تستمر الولايات المتحدة ومعها اوروبا في عملية تفتيش مضنية حول امكانية وجود مسيحيين في بعض الدول العربية تمهيداً لتصفيتهم تحت ذرائع عدة دون الالتفات لاي رادع اخلاقي سوى التطلع نحو براميل النفط في هذه البلاد.

وتقول اوساط مسيحية انه بعد ان هرمت الدولة الفرنسية وشاخ معها مفهوم الام الحنون سارت على نفس الدرب الاميركي في التعامل مع اللبنانيين والمسيحيين في ازهاق ارواحهم، وانكسر ظهر المسيحيين في هذا الشرق المترامي ومهد السيد المسيح لتعوم بعده بقايا براميل النفط في مياه الخليج العربي وتستعرض هذه الاوساط اوضاع المسيحيين الحقيقية والتي لا يعمد الى صدقية مشهدها بعض اهل السياسة في لبنان وفق الصورة التالية:

1- بات واضحاً ان المسيحيين القاطنين منذ زمن قرب قبر المسيح في القدس غادروا وتم ترحيلهم بالترغيب والترهيب ولم تسأل اية جهة عن معاني وجود قبر مخلص العالم في هذا الخلو التام من اتباعه، واذا كانت المسؤولية تقع خارج فلسطين وفي الكنائس الانطاكية المشرقية فان الامكانيات المحدودة لها جعلتها في موقف المتفرج على وليدة اميركا واعمالها لتفريغ الارض من شعوبها، وتقول هذه الاوساط انه في اللحظة التي لفظ فيها السيد المسيح انفاسه في تلك الارض وقيامه في اليوم الثالث عرف اليهود واشهروا مقولتهم التاريخية: لقد بدأت الحكاية، وبالفعل ترجم اليهود هذا الخلاص اعمالاً تنفيذية بحق المسيح واتباعه ليس في فلسطين فحسب انما كيفما طالت اليد الصهيونية في البلاد العربية.

2- خرج المسيحيون في العراق في الوقت الذي كانوا يعتقدون فيه ان ايامهم في البحبوحة والحرية قادمة مع الدبابات الاميركية، نسي الاميركيون شعوباً عمرها ستة الاف سنة فيما سن اكتشاف قارتهم لا يقارن ببناء كنيسة في جرد لبنان وعمدوا الى التنكيل بهذه الشعوب تهجيرا واضطهاد واغضوا الطرف عن المجازر وانهمكوا بجمع الاموال وتجميع ابار النفط تماما كما فعلت اسرائيل حين دخلت لبنان لتنقذ المسيحيين لتنكشف الصورة الحقيقية لذاك الاجتياح المشؤوم، ففي حين كان المسيحيون يعيشون بوئام مع اهلهم الدروز في الجبل عمدت قوات «جيش الدفاع الاسرائيلي» ليس فقط الى ادارة ظهرها للمذابح انما شاركت في قسم منها وعناصر القوات اللبنانية الذين كانوا في الجبل خير شاهد على افعال اسرائيل التي قصمت ظهر المسيحيين في اهم مواقعهم في جبل لبنان وما زالت آثار اقدامها موجودة في ساحات وطرقات البلدات المنكوبة، ولم تكتف بهذا القدر وبتغطية اميركية واضحة تمت عملية محو قذرة للمسيحيين في اقليم الخروب لتلتحق به مناطق شرقي صيدا بكاملها ولاحق الاسرائيليون اهالي الشريط الحدودي واقفلوا البوابات بوجههم ولو لم تكن هناك سياسة راشدة لدى القوى المنتصرة في الجنوب ومنعت اعمال الانتقام والقتل، لكان المسيحيون قد اجهز عليهم بفعل ادارة مدروسة من قبل اسرائيل، ولم تكلف اميركا نفسها تماما كما حدث في العراق ولو بالاستنكار او ارسال المعونات بل تركتهم يدخلون في فم الذئب وهي تتفرج.

3- وجاء دور سوريا اكبر الدول التي يعيش فيها المسيحيون وبسحر ساحر بدأ السيناريو يتكرر تحت حجج واهية ووفق التشكيلة الاميركية، ففي العراق قنابل كيماوية وفي ايران سلاح نووي اما في سوريا فالحرية مطلب شعبي فركبت اميركا هذه الموجة وبدأت باللعب على قسماتها ليس حبا بالحرية والكلمة الحرة انما سوف تبقى تداعب هذه العبارات الى حين ايجاد مبرر «كيماوي او نووي» من اجل ضرب سوريا وعندما تنجح ويلتحق المسيحيون باخوانهم في العراق وفلسطين ومصر يعلن اهل الادارة الاميركية كما اعلنوا من قبل ان سوريا خالية من اي سلاح استراتيجي يهدد اسرائيل وهنا يقبع السر الخبيث ليكون الجميع في خدمة امن اسرائيل وليس لاي سبب آخر فالامور تتعاظم لدى تهديد هذا الامن وتصغر عند محو امة بكاملها من اهل العرب.

وتقول الاوساط المسيحية عرف بطريرك الموارنة مار بشارة بطرس الراعي سر الحكاية الاميركية، وانعم الله عليه هذا العقل المتنور في سعيه نحو خلاص المسيحيين، فهو قد التفت الى الوراء قليلا وشاهد تواريخ قطيعه على ضرائحهم مذبوحين ومقتولين فيتسابق الراعي مع الوقت وقبل فوات الاوان ولم يجلس في كرسيه الانطاكي يحاكي المذابح عن بعد بل ذهب الى اقاصي الدنيا والى حيث لم يجرؤ ابن امرأة على الدخول تماما كما دخل سيده اورشليم منذ الفي سنة واعظا منبها محذرة من الاتي باسم الغرب فالمسيحيون لن يتقوقعوا ولن ينفصلوا عن محيطهم وهم رواده ولن يعملوا خدما عند ايّ من الانظمة او شعوب متنوعة اجتمعت فيما بينها واطلقت على نفسها اسم امة وهي كناية عن دول تستأجر رعايا لتدير بلادها من اي عرق كان فالمسافة بين الشرق والغرب وان كانت قصيرة اليوم الا ان ذاكرة التاريخ تعج بالسريان والاشور والكلدان الذي هم اصل الدنيا وعلى الباقي خدمتهم وليس ذبحهم فاتركوا الراعي يعمل.

نداء للإصلاح.. أو السلام على لبنان

يعيش لبنان منذ تأسيسه مخاطر جمّة، منها ما يتعلق بوجوده في منطقة زلازل سياسية ومشاكل إقليمية دائمة منذ تأسيس دولة إسرائيل، ومنها ما هو بنيوي يرتبط بهيكلية الفساد المعشش في البنى السياسية والاجتماعية والإدارية منذ ما قبل تأسيس دولة لبنان الكبير، بالإضافة إلى استفادة هذا الفساد من البنى الطائفية ونظام المحاصصة الطائفي المستمد من نظام الملل العثماني الذي أنشأ ما يشبه فيدرالية الطوائف المتناحرة على الوطن.

واليوم، وبعد وصول الوطن إلى مستويات منحدرة من الانهيار الاقتصادي الاجتماعي الذي ضرب الفئات الشعبية كافة، باتت الحاجة ملحة جداً للسير بمسيرة إصلاحية لبناء الدولة، يتحمل مسؤوليتها جميع شرائح الطبقات السياسية والاجتماعية على حد سواء. أما القوى المدعوة إلى أن تضافر جهودها، فهي بالأساس الفئات السياسة التي لم تشارك في الفساد المتعاقب منذ عقود، بالإضافة إلى شرائح المجتمع اللبناني المتضرر من هذا الفساد المستشري الذي يؤدي إلى استئثار قلة فاسدة منتفعة بمقدرات بلد بكامله.

وتنقسم الفئات المخاطبة بهذا النداء للإصلاح إلى فئات ثلاث على الشكل التالي:

أولاً: الفئات التي لم تشارك بالحكم في العقود الماضية، والتي كانت خارجه تماماً، وهي منقسمة اليوم بين معارضة وموالاة.

بالنسبة للفئات المعارضة اليوم، والتي لم تكن جزءاً من تركيبة السلطة السياسية قبل عام 2005، فهي مدعوة كما الموالاة، وإن بمسؤولية أقل، للمساهمة في مسيرة إصلاح الدولة وتطهيرها من الفساد، فالخروج من الحكم لا يعني بأي حال من الأحوال الخروج من الوطن أو الدولة. وإن كان البعض يتهم هذه الفئات بأنها ساهمت في الفساد الذي مورس بعد عام 2005 فهي مدعوة أيضاً إلى إسقاط هذه التهمة عن نفسها، وذلك من خلال عدم تغطية الفاسدين والدفاع عنهم بحجة احترام التحالفات أو الكيدية السياسية أو غيرها.

أما المسؤولية الأكبر في مكافحة الفساد واستئصاله، فيتحملها متولو السلطة السياسية، أي الحكومة اللبنانية، التي تمتلك سلطة المعالجة وسلطة المكافحة وسلطة الرّدع، ولا ينفع ادعاء بعض الفئات السياسية المكوّنة للحكومة بضغوط خارجية أو داخلية أو طائفية للتهرب من مسؤولية مكافحة الفساد، وإقامة حكم العدل وإحقاق الحق بين المواطنين.

من هنا، انطلاقاً من مبدأ ثابت يفيد أن "الساكت عن الشر شيطان أخرس"، فإن القوى السياسية والاجتماعية كافة، وخصوصاً القوى المشاركة في الحكومة، مدعوة لمكافحة الفساد والسير في مسيرة بناء الدولة، لا بل إن ادعاء هذه القوى عدم شراكتها بالفساد السابق، لا يعفيها من تحمل مسؤولية المشاركة فيه، أما من خلال تلكئها عن مكافحته أو عبر صمتها عنه وتغطيته الذي يجعلها حامية ومشرعنة له حتى لو لم تكن شريكة فيه.

ثانياً: المقاومة، وهي مدعوة للمشاركة بفاعلية وقوة في مسيرة الإصلاح والقضاء في الفساد، إذ لا يمكن لأي شعب أن يدّعي الحافظ على سيادته واستقلاله من خلال امتلاك القوة العسكرية فقط، ويتغاضى عن حالة الاهتراء الداخلي التي تعيشها دولته ومن النواحي السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية.

لكي تتحقق الدولة القوية القادرة التي تحافظ على المقاومة ومكتسباتها وما حققته لغاية الآن من تحرير للأرض وحفظ للإنسان فيه، بات على المقاومة أيضاً أن تسهم في محاربة الفساد الذي يكاد يقضي على الدولة والوطن، ويمنع المواطنين من التمتع بأبسط معايير العدالة الإنسانية، ويمنع عنهم مواصفات المواطنية الصحيحة. لم يعد مقنعاً التقاعس عن محاربة الفساد أو غض النظر عن إصلاح الدولة وبنائها على أسس العدالة والشفافية والحكم الصالح بذريعة حماية المقاومة وسلاحها. فالفساد في لبنان أصبح بنيوياً في هيكل الدولة والمجتمع، حتى يكاد يقضي على الهيكل بمن فيه.

ثالثًا: المجتمع اللبناني: لا يمكن بأي حال من الأحوال، إعفاء المجتمع اللبناني من مسؤولية انتشار الفساد وتطوره، فقد انتشرت في الثقافة اللبنانية مفاهيم قيميّة ومثل شعبية تدعو إلى السكوت عن الفساد وتشجيعه، من خلال الدعوة إلى الحياد من منطلق "شو وقفت عليي؟" أو "حايدي عن ضهري".. أو على الأقل التخلي عن محاربته بذريعة تسهيل سبل العيش وتيسير الأمور الإدارية البيروقراطية، فبات الفساد وسيلة فعالة لتسهيل للمعاملات، أو مختصر للوقت أو غيرها.

من هنا، تغدو مسؤولية محاربة الفساد واستئصاله، مسؤولية عامة يتحملها الجميع، وخصوصاً المؤسسات المجتمعية كالعائلة والمدرسة والجامعة وغيرها باعتبارها مسؤولة عن تغيير ذهنية اجتماعية، تكاد تقضي على الوطن وتستبيحه أمام الرياح التي تعصف به من كل حدب وصوب.

لطالما كان الوطن اللبناني بحاجة إلى مقاومة شعبية وسياسية دائمة منذ تأسيسه، فالأخطار التي تتهدده، لم تكن يوماً خارجية فقط، بل هي داخلية أيضاً قد تؤدي في بعض الأحيان إلى كوارث توازي احتلال الأرض، إذ قد تؤدي هذه الآفات الاجتماعية التي تحولت إلى سرطان مستفحل ينخر جسد الوطن، مما قد يؤدي إلى انهيار الدولة والمجتمع.

إن القول بحماية الوطن عسكرياً وحمايته من الأخطار والاعتداءات الإسرائيلية وحدها لا تكفي للحفاظ على سيادته، بل باتت المعالجة الداخلية واستئصال الفساد وبناء الدولة على أسس الشفافية والعدالة والحكم الصالح بنفس أهمية الحماية من التهديدات الخارجية، لأن انهيار الوطن اقتصادياً واجتماعياً، يستبيحه ويقض سيادته الاقتصادية ومنعته الاجتماعية بشكل لا يقل خطورة وأهمية عن بسط النفوذ العسكري عليه، لا يمكن لدولة منخورة بالفساد وعدم العدالة أن تقاوم عدواً شرساً يربض على حدودها، فمقومات المناعة الاجتماعية والمقاومة الفاعلة لم تكن يوماً عسكرية فقط، ولنا في حالة انهيار الاتحاد السوفياتي الذي انهار من الداخل عبرة مفيدة، هل استطاعت الترسانة العسكرية الهائلة التي امتلكها الاتحاد أن تمنع انفجاره من الداخل؟

سلطانة الملائكة.حياة السيدّة العذراء: قبلت رسالة الله بظروف بشرية مستحيلة

القديسة العذراء مريم تقف في كل أجيال التاريخ في نقطة المركز من دائرته، لقد اختارتها نعمة الله لتصبح رابطة بين السماء والأرض، بين الفردوس المفقود والفـردوس المردود، وفي شخص وليدها ومن اجله، ألا نعظم الله معها، ألا نعظم الله من أجلها، ألا نشترك مع جميع الأجيال في تطويبها، فنقول مـع أليصابات: "مبـاركة أنـت فـي النسـاء ومبـاركة هـي ثمـرة بطنـك" ( لوقا 42:1 ).

مـن هـي مـريــم:

في الآراميـة فـإن اسم "مريم" يعنـي "أميرة أو سيدة"، ويحتمل أنه اسم مُشتق من كلمة "مريامون" الهيروغليفية.

مريم العذراء أو القديسة مريم العذراء (بالسريانية مَرثَي مِريَم وباليونانية Παρθένος Μαρία برثينوس مريا) شخصية مميزة في العهد الجديد والقرآن كأم يسوع الناصري، بولادة عذرية دون تدخل رجل، حسب المعتقدات المسيحية والإسلامية.

وفق المعتقدات المسيحية فإن مريم كانت مخطوبة ليوسف النجار، عندما بشرها الملاك جبرائيل بحملها بيسوع وظلت بقربه حتى الصلب. الكتب الأبوكريفية المختلفة وكتابات آباء الكنيسة تتكلم عن حياتها المبكرة وحتى بداية الدعوة العلنية ليسوع، وقد قبلت هذه الكتابات بنسب متفاوت كعقائد لدى الطوائف المسيحية، وقد صيغ عدد آخر من العقائد في المسيحية تعرف باسم العقائد المريمية تتحدث عن العذراء ودورها، التي أغدقت عليها الكنيسة أيضًا عددًا كبيرًا من الألقاب، فهي الملكة والمباركة والشفيعة المؤتمنة وغيرها من الألقاب التي تندرج في إطار تكريمها، الذي تعتقد الكنائس التي تفرد لمريم مكانة خاصة أنه جزء من العقيدة المسيحية، وفي سبيل ذلك أيضًا أقامت عددًا كبيرًا من الأعياد والتذكارات في السنة الطقسية خاصة بها، وأشيدت أعداد كبيرة من الكنائس والمزارات على اسمها، إلى جانب طرق مختلفة أخرى من التكريم، ويسمى علم دراسة مريم ودورها في الكتاب المقدس والمسيحية الماريولوجيا ‏(en)‏.

ولمريم العذراء أيضًا مكانة خاصة في الإسلام، فهي خير نساء العالمين، وترتبط بها السورة الثالثة في القرآن: سورة آل عمران، وهي عائلتها وفق المعتقدات الإسلامية؛ والسورة التاسعة عشر في القرآن والتي تدعى باسمها: سورة مريم، وهي السورة الوحيدة في القرآن المسماة باسم امرأة.

الإنجيلي لوقا في كتابته لبشارة الملاك لها حين كلًّمهـا قائـلاً "لا تخافي يا مريم لأنك قد وجدت نعمة عند الله وها أنت ستحبلين وتلدين ابناً وتسمينه يسـوع" ( لوقا 30:1-30 ) .

نستطيع أيضاً أن نتعرف على بعض أفراد عائلتها، فنعرف أنه كان لها أخت جاء ذكرها في بشارة يوحنا عند حادثة الصلب حيث "كانت واقفات عند صليب يسوع أُمُّهُ وأخت أُمِّهِ مريم زوجة كلوبا ومريـم المجدليـة" (يوحنا 19:25). وأنها أيضاً نسيبه أليصابات (لوقا 36:1)، أم يوحنا المعمدان.

كانت الخطبة في العهد القديم عداً أبدياً لا ينفصم، وما الزفاف إلا حفل تنتقل فيه الفتاة من بيت أبيها لبيت رجلها، ووفقاً لهذه الشريعة كانت الفتاة المخطوبة بمثابة زوجة لخطيبها، ولو مات خاطبها أثناء فترة الخطبة وقبل الزفاف تُعتبر الخطيبة أرملة؛

ولم يكن ممكناً للفتاة أو عائلتها أن يفُضَّا علاقة الخطوبة هذه إلا بكتاب أو وثيقة طلاق، كما أن هذه العادات أو الشريعة ما كانت لتسمح بوجود علاقة جنسية بين الخطيب وخطيبته قبل إعلان حفل الزفاف وإلا اُعتبرا في حُكم الزناة.

وفقاً لهـذه الشريعـة، كانت العذراء مريم مخطوبة لـرجلاسمه يـوسف ( لوقا 27:1 )؛ كان يوسف رجلاً باراً، فحين عَرِفَ بأمر حبل خطيبته، لـم يشأ أن يُشِّهرَ بها، أراد تخليتها سراً، ولكن فيما هو مُتفكر في هـذه الأمـور جاءته بشارة الملاك قائلة "يـا يوسف لا تخف أن تأخـذ مريم امرأتك، لأن الذي حُبل به فيه هـو من الروح القدس" ( متى 20:1 ).

العذراء الفتاة الطاهـرة:

كانت الفتاة الصغيرة العذراء مريم، تعيش في الجليل، وكانت فتاة طاهرة، نقية الأخلاق، تحيا حياة القداسة، حسب دعوة الله "وتكونون لي قديسين لأني قُدُّوس أنا الرب، وقد مَيَّزتُكُم من الشعوب لتكونوا لي" (لاويين 26:20). كانت في علاقة حيه، وصحيحة مع الله.

كانت تعرف الكتب المقدسة وتحفظ منها الكثير، وحين ترنمت بأنشودتها العذبة كانت تستمد كلماتها مما في ذاكراتها، وقد كانت كلمات تَغَّنت بها حنة، وترَّنم بها كاتب المزامير.

إلى هذه الفتاة جاءت نعمة الله، لتدعوها لتكون أُماً للمسيح، ابن الله، الذي اشتهت الأجيال أن يُولد فيما بينها، وتمنت النساء أن يأتي منهن، ويالها من نعمـة تلك التي تأتـي من الله لتختر إنسانـاً، وتمنحه ما لا يستحق، فالنعمة هي أن يُمنح شخصاً شـيء لا يستحقه، وما كان للإنسان أن يدخل في علاقة صحيحة مع الله، ما لم يتدخل الله بنعمته ليصنع طريقاً من خلال تجسد ابنه يسوع المسيح فنستطيع أن نصبح أولاداً لله.

جاءت شهادة الله لحياة الطهارة والنقاء التي للعذراء مريم بين جميع النساء فيما قاله الملاك جبرائيل، إذ بدأ كلامه معها "وقال سلام لك أيتها المنعم عليها، الرب معك، مباركة أنت في النساء" (لوقا 1: 28).

لم تتمالك أليصابات نفسها حين زارتها العذراء مريم، وامتلأت بالروح القدس "وصرخت بصوت عظيم وقالت مباركة أنت في النساء ومباركة هي ثمرة بطنك، فمن أين لي هذا أن تأتي أم ربي إليَّ، فهوذا حين صار صوت سلامـك في أذُنـيَّ ارتكـض الجنيـن بابتهـاج في بطنـي، فطوبـى للتي آمنـت أن يتـم ما قيـل لهـا مـن الـرب" (لوقا 42:1-45).

كانت حياة العذراء مريم تختلف عن كثيرات من بنات زمانها، فلم تساير أهل بلدتها، بل كانت تعيش حياة النقاء، وحياة الاتصال الدائم بالله، والشركة معه، والارتباط بكلمته المقدسة، فكانت شهادة السماء لها في شخص الملاك جبرائيل، واختيار الله لها لتكون أم المسيا، وكانت شهادة الأرض لها في شخص يوسف خطيبها فيما أراد ألا يُشَهِر بها، وشهادة قريبتها أليصابات.

العذراء الفتاة الخاضعة:

يتجلى خضوع العذراء مريم في قبولها لمشيئة الله، فهي الفتاة المخطوبة، التي لم تعرف رجلاً بعد، تأتيها بشارة الملاك لتُخبِرها بأن إختيار السماء وقع عليها، لتكون أُماً لابن الله، يسوع المسيح، وبالرغم من أن هذا الأمر كان مشتهى النساء، وقد كن يتمنين أن يحملِّن بهذا الوليد، وأن تصبح أماً للمسيا المنتظر، إلا إنهن ما توقعن أبداً أن يأتي اختيار السماء لفتاة عذراء، في بلدة بسيطة، لا يعرفها أحد، وهذا ما حدث مع العذراء مريم، فقد اختارتها نعمة الله، لتكون سبيله للتجسد وولادته بين البشر، كان الأمر صعباً، ويبدو مستحيلاً قَبُولَه، فكيف يرى الناس فتاةً مخطوبة، لم تتزوج بعد، لكنها حُبلى ‍! ماذا تقول لخطيبها ؟ كيف يتقبل هذا الأمر مهما كانت شهامته؟.

كل هذه الأسئلة كانت ستتوارد لفكر أي فتاة أخرى في موقف العذراء مريم، وقد يمكن أن لا تقبل هذا الأمر، لكن ما حدث مع العذراء القديسة مريم هو أنه في كل خضوع وتسليم لمشيئه الله، وقناعة باختياره، قَبِلَت هذا الأمر، وحين سألت الملاك "كيف يكـون هذا وأنا لست أعرف رجـلاً؟" (لوقا 34:1)؛ لم يكن ليس تساؤل الخائف، أو غير المؤمن، بل كان تساؤل من يريد أن يعرف، فكيف لعذراء أن توجد حُبلى، وتلد ابناً، دون أن يَمسسها رجل، أو أن تعرف رجلاً؟.

وقد أجاب الملاك جبرائيل مُعطياً تفسيراً للعذراء، قائلاً "الروح القدس يحل عليك وقوة العلي تظلّلُكِ فلذلك أيضاً القـدوس المولود منك يدعى ابن الله" (لوقا 35:1)؛ وكشف ملاك الرب ليوسف خطيبها أمر الحبل المقدس حين جاءه في حُلمٍ قائلاً يا يوسف لا تخف أن تأخذ مريم امرأتك، لأن الذي حُبِل به فيها هو من الروح القدس فستلد ابناً وتدعو اسمه يسوع لأنه يخلص شعبه من خطاياهم، وهذا كله لكي يتم ما قيل من الرب بالنبي القائل هوذا العذراء تحبل وتلد ابنا ويدعُّون اسمه عمانوئيل الذي تفسيره الله معنا.

كان خضوع العذراء وتجاوبها مـع دعـوة الله لها، هـو الطريـق الـذي هيأ به الله جسداً لـه ليدخل منـه إلى العالـم (عبرانيين 5:10).

وكما بدأ الملاك كلامه مع العذراء بالتحية، إبعاد الخوف عنها بقوله "لا تخافي .."، أنهى معها حديثه بخبرٍ مشجع، عن قريبتها أليصابات، حين أخبرها قائلاً "وهوذا أليصابات نسيبتك هي أيضاً حُبلى بابن في شيخوختها وهذا هو الشهر السادس لتلك المدعـوة عاقراً لأنه ليس شيء غير ممكن لدى الله" (لوقا 36:138 –).

العذراء مريم حين سمعت البشرى السارة، لم تَخف، ولم تضطرب، ولم تشك، بل قالت في كل خضوع وإيمان " هوذا أنا أمة الرب، ليكن لي كقولك" لقد قبلت رسالة الله لها حتى وهي في ظروف بشرية مستحيلة.

مـريــم الفتاة الوديعة المتواضعة:

لقد تميَّزت القديسة العذراء مريم بالوداعة والتواضع، فحين جاءتها البشرى بمولد يسوع المسيح، ابن الله، من خلال حَبلِها المقدس، لم تتفاخر أو تتنفخ، بل بكل وداعة وتواضع قالت للملاك "هوذا أنا أَمَةُ الرب ليكن لي كقولك" (لوقا 38:1)؛ وحين قامت وذهبت لزيارة أليصابات وسمعت هتاف أليصابات مباركة إياها، قائلة "مباركة أنت في النساء، ومباركة هي ثمرة بطنك فمن لي هذا أن تأتي أم ربي إليَّ .. فقالت مريم تعظم نفسي الرب وتبتهج روحي بالله مخلصي لأنه نظر إلي إتضاع أمته فهوذا منذ الآن جميـع الأجيال تطوبني لأن القدير صنع بي عظائم واسمه قدوس" (لوقا 41:1 49–).

تأتي الوداعة حين يُدرِك الإنسان قيمته الحقيقية أمام الله، وحين يدرك أنه خاطئ لا يستحق إلا الموت كنتيجة طبيعية لخطيئته، وحينما يرى هذا الإنسان ما يجزله له الله من عطاء وسخاء وغفران، فإن الموقف الطبيعي هو الشكر والتسبيح لله على أعماله ونعمته، ورحمته، وعطاياه.

إن ما حدث مع العذراء مريم حين بشَّرها الملاك بولادة المسيا، منها لم يجعلها تتباهى فخراً، أو أن تنسب لنفسها استحقاقـاً لاختيـار الله لهـا، بـل بكـل وداعة قالت "هـوذا أنـا أَمَـةُ الـرب ليكـن لـي كقـولك" وحين هتفت أليصابات منشدة أنشودتهـا فـي العـذراء قائلـة "مباركـة أنت في النساء، ومباركة هي ثمرة بطنك" كان تجاوب العذراء معها هو "تعظم نفسي الرب وتبتهج روحي بالله مخلصي، لأنه نظر إلي إتضاع أمته".

لقد كانت العذراء مريم تُدرك أن إختيار الله لها إنما هو نعمة أسبغتها عليها رحمة القدير، وخصَّتها بها، وفي لحظات فرحها وإنشادها لم تنس إحسانـات الله لها، فترنمت لله الذي خلّصها، واختارهـا لتكـون أمـا ليسـوع، القدير الذي صنع بها عظائـم " فقالت مريم تُعظم نفسي الرب وتبتهج روحي بالله مخلصي لأنه نظر إلي إتضاع أمته، فهوذا منذ الآن جميع الأجيـال تطوبني لأن القدير صنع بي عظـائم، واسمه قـدوس، ورحمته إلى جيل الأجيال للذين يتقـونه" (لوقا 49:1).

إن الوداعة هي الطريق لإعلان الإنسان عن سر ابتهاجه وفرحه الحقيقي أمام الله، فتأتي أناشيـد الشكـر، والترنـم بالتسبيـح في حضرة الله كأجلى بيان عن عظمة نعمة الله، كما أنها الطريق لربح محبة الأخرين وإقامة علاقة سليمة بين الإنسان وأخيه الإنسان، وهي أسلوب حياة يدعونا السيد المسيح لنتعلَّمه منه، أسمعه يقول ".. تعلموا منى لأني وديع ومتواضع القلب فتجدوا راحة لنفوسكم" (متى 29:11).

مريم أم يسوع هذا هو اللقب الأكثر إنتشاراً عن العذراء مريـم فـي علاقتها بالسيـد المسيـح في تجسده، وهو اللقب الذي يـذكره عنها كُتَّـاب العهـد الجديـد (يوحنا 2: 3، 19: 25-26)،(لوقا 2:48)، (مرقس 3: 31-33، 6: 3)، (أعمال 14:1)

وفي علاقة العذراء مريم بابنها يسوع نجد تحقيقاً لهذه النبوة "وأنت أيضاً يجوز في نفسك سيف"، والكلمة المستخدمة هنا للدلالة على السيف، في أصلها اليوناني تعني السيف كبير الحجم مثل الذي كان جليـات يستخدمه، السيف الحاد الطويل، المخيف.

"يجتاز في نفسك سيف" كانت هذه نبوة عن مِقدار الألم التي سوف تجتازه العذراء، وقد جاز السيف أعماقها، فمنذ أن بشَّرها الملاك بولادة المسيح، جاز في نفسها سيف، حتى وإن عرفت سر هذا الحبل المقدس، كان عليها مواجهه خطيبها يوسف، وهي لم تعرف كيف يتقبل هذا الأمر، وحين أراد تخلِّيتها سراً رغم ما في ذلك من عدم تشهير بها،وتقديراً لها، إلا أنه موقف بالضرورة تألمت لأجله، وحين واجهت مجتمعها وهي حبلى قبل أن يتم الزفاف، بالقطع أمر كان له تأثيره عليها، وفي مطاردة هيرودس لوليدها، وتغرَّبها عن بلادها، وحين رفض اليهود رسالة ابنها لهم، رسالة الله لخلاصهم، حين كانت ترى مقاومتهم له، بل محاولة قتله وطرحه من أعلى الجبل (لوقا 4:29)، حتى أقرباؤه يتهمونه باتهامات باطلة، دون أن يعرفوه المخلص، الذي جاء لخاصته (مرقس 21:3)، على أن الاتهام يتجاوز حداً خطيراً، فهـا هم الفريسيون والكتبة، وهم قادة الدين، يوجهون اتهامهم له بأنه يعمل معجزاتـه ويخرج الشياطين بقـوة بعلزبـول (متى12:24)، ويصل الأمر إلي قمة ذروته، وقت الصلب حيث ترى العذراء ابنها معلقاً على خشبه الصليب، وهي واقفة تنتحب باكية لا تستطيع أن تعمل شيئاً من أجلـه (يوحنا 19 25).

15 آب.

يحتفل به كل سنة في /15 /من شهر اب ، ليس هناك امور موثقة عن ختام عمر سيدتنا مريم العذراء على هذه البسيطة. الا ان القديس ابيفانيوس أسقف سلامينا في قبرص (نحو سنة 377) أكّد بحكمة وبصيرة: "الكتاب المقدس صامت تمام الصمت عن نهاية حياة سيدتنا مريم العذراء، وذلك بسبب عظمة المعجزة لئلا يصيب ذهول زائد عقول البشر" (كتاب "مجمع الهرطقات" أو "الباناريون").

وينقل التقليد الشريف احساس الجماعة المسيحية الرسولية أي أن السيد المسيح أكرم والدته الطهور ورفعها الى الامجاد السماوية. وأجمعت الكنائس العريقة على هذه العقيدة. وعندما يُسأل المؤمنون عن اساسها يجيبون بعدة نصوص من الكتب المقدسة التي هي السند البيبلي غير المباشر لهذا التواتر الكريم.

هنالك دروس كثيرة من رقاد السيدة وقبرها الفارغ في المدينة المقدسة في فلسطين مدينة القدس وانتقالها –عليها السلام- الى الامجاد السماوية، اكراما للامومة وللبتولية الخصبة التي على كل الاجيال أن تطوّبها أي تهنئها وتكرمها اكرام الاولاد للام، ولكاملة القداسة التي هي فخر الفتيات وزينة الوالدات، "المطهرة على نساء العالمين".

"Israel's disappointing performance in its war against Hezbollah in Lebanon in 2006 did not reflect a "failure of air power," but rather a failure of Israel's political and military leaders to properly assess the enemy, set achievable goals, apply an effective strategy and adequately manage public expectations, according to a RAND Corporation study issued today....

"What ultimately failed in the planning and conduct of the campaign against Hezbollah was not Israeli air power or any other instrument of warfare," said Benjamin Lambeth, author of the study and a senior defense analyst at RAND, a nonprofit research organization. "It was a consequential blend of ill-advised civilian and military leadership decisions about the nature of the adversary, the campaign's initial goals and the desire to avoid a military occupation in southern Lebanon."

When the conflict ended following a mutually agreed cease-fire, those unrealistic goals remained unmet, and the Israeli Defense Forces proved unable at any time to stem the daily barrage of rockets that Hezbollah fired into civilian population centers in northern Israel, according to the study. Well before the crisis erupted, the commander of the Israeli Air Force had warned government leaders that preventing the launching of well-hidden rockets was beyond the capacity of Israel's air assets alone.

Lambeth finds that although the Israeli Defense Forces had a fully developed contingency plan for a joint air-ground counteroffensive that might have offered real promise in response to Hezbollah's provocation, Israel's leaders were unwilling to countenance the high friendly casualty rate that such action would almost surely have generated. As such, leaders chose to avoid a repeat of the sort of massive ground invasion that Israel launched into Lebanon in 1982.

Moreover, the Israeli Defense Forces had conducted virtually no periodic large-scale training of its ground troops for major combat in recent years, leaving Israel's ground commanders with little incentive to fight a robust Hezbollah. When the Israel government finally committed ground troops to action in large numbers during the last three days of the conflict, the performance of those troops was poorly coordinated with supporting air operations. Furthermore, Hezbollah's well-dug-in defenses proved more difficult to defeat than expected.

"For the most part, in those mission areas in which it naturally excelled, the Israeli Air Force performed to its usual high standards of competence throughout the engagement," Lambeth said. "The government's greatest misstep was taking an overly unreflective view of what military power of any kind, unaided by a coherent and effective strategy, could accomplish when the declared goals were so ambitious and the Israeli Defense Forces' ground troops were so unready. That misstep had nothing to do with the strengths or limitations of air power."

لماذا مصطفى بدر الدين؟

لم يمر وقت طويل على استشهاد القائد الجهادي عماد مغنية، حتى شُغل كثيرون بالسؤال عن خليفته. إسرائيل، ومعها الولايات المتحدة وجهات أوروبية وعربية، بدأت تسريب توقعات وتقديرات. وكان البارز في الأسماء، مصطفى بدر الدين. وكعادتها، تطوعت الصحافة المعادية لتقديم التفاصيل. «السياسة» الكويتية، التي اشتهرت بتسريب المعلومات المعادية لحزب الله وسوريا، سارعت إلى تقديم عرض عن بدر الدين. قالت إنه هو نفسه إلياس صعب، الرجل الذي يتحمل مسؤولية ما حصل في الكويت في ثمانينيات القرن الماضي، وإنه أُوقف وسجن قبل أن يستغل الغزو العراقي للإمارة والهروب من السجن.

ظلت إسرائيل المصدر الأول للمعلومات عن بدر الدين. هي تعرفه منذ زمن بعيد، ولكنها حارت في الدور الذي أدّاه في العقد الأخير. وبعد إعادة تشكيل الهيئة القيادية للمجلس الجهادي في حزب الله إثر استشهاد مغنية، بذلت الاستخبارات الإسرائيلية، ومعها الأميركية، جهداً كبيراً في جمع المعلومات عن تركيبته وهويات من يشغله. ويعتقد على نطاق ضيّق، أن «م. ح» المعروف باسم «أبو تراب»، الذي أوقفه جهاز مكافحة التجسس في المقاومة قبل أسابيع وأقر بعلاقة قديمة مع وكالة الاستخبارات الأميركية، يعتقد أنه قدّم لمشغليه معلومات عن هيكلية قيادة المقاومة، وهو أمر متاح له من حيث المعلومة، وإن كان الرجل لا يملك قنوات اتصال تنظيمية تتيح له معرفة الأمور الحساسة التي تركز عليها إسرائيل لجهة أماكن مخازن القوة الصاروخية، ومحتويات «صندوقة المفاجآت»، بالإضافة إلى أماكن وجود القيادات الرئيسية في المقاومة، وخصوصاً الأمين العام السيد حسن نصر الله. لكن إسرائيل حصلت من الولايات المتحدة على معلومات قدمها هذا العميل عن أشياء كثيرة، يرجَّح أن تكون من بينها معلومات عن مصطفى بدر الدين وآخرين من قيادات المقاومة.

وإذا كانت مصادر المعلومات القريبة من التحقيق الدولي تزعم أن دانيال بلمار وفريقه علما في فترة متأخرة أن بدر الدين هو نفسه سامي عيسى الذي يبحثون عنه بصفته الرأس المدبر لعملية اغتيال الحريري، فثمة وقائع كثيرة تشير إلى أن اسم الرجل طرح قبل وقت طويل، وعندما أشارت مجلة دير شبيغل إليه قبل أكثر من عامين، ثم أشارت إسرائيل إليه مرة جديدة قبل نحو عام على الأقل، ثم ما سربته أوساط فريق 14 آذار خلال كل الفترة، يعيد هذا إلى الأذهان أن تسليط الأضواء على الرجل حصل فعلاً بعد غياب مغنية، والحديث عن أن بدر الدين هو من خلفه في منصبه. علماً بأنه يمكن الآن الكشف عن وقائع تعود إلى صيف عام 2005 حيث كانت التحقيقات جارية بقيادة ديتليف ميليس، ويومها أُشير إلى الاسم في معرض مناقشات مع بعض الشهود أو الذين عُدّوا مشتبهاً فيهم في فترة لاحقة.

كذلك، تكشف وقائع خاصة بالتحقيق، أن فرع المعلومات في حينه، ولما كان تحت إمرة العقيد سمير شحادة، كلف مجموعات منه التحرك داخل الضاحية الجنوبية والسؤال عن أشخاص من القادة العسكريين البارزين في المقاومة.
لكن لماذا بدر الدين؟
ثمة أشياء يجدر التوقف عندها في آلية عمل المقاومة؛ فعماد مغنية ورفاقه كانوا طوال الفترة السابقة من دون اسم أو وجه أو عنوان. كان يستحيل على أحد معرفتهم إلا شهداء، وهو نمط تميزت به المقاومة الإسلامية، وخصوصاً أن آلية عملها السرية تفرض آليات تمنع على أي من العاملين في وحداتها الظهور. وإن كان بعض الأقارب والأهل والأصدقاء يعرفون أن هذا متفرغ في المقاومة، فإن ذلك لم يكن يسمح بمعرفة المزيد. لذلك، كانت المفأجاة على الدوام بالأشخاص الأبطال عندما يستشهدون. وإسرائيل، كما جهات كثيرة في لبنان والخارج، عملت على تشويه صورة القادة المقاومين. فهم لم يشيروا مرة إلى الشهيد مغنية على أنه مقاوم، بل لطالما قدموه إرهابياً مسؤولاً عن عمليات خطف وقتل أجانب وأميركيين، وأنه تولى الأمور التي تخص أعمالاً أمنية داخل لبنان وخارجه. وحدها إسرائيل كانت تطارده بصمت، بصفته عدواً رئيسياً لها. لذلك، فوجئ الغرب بأن حزب الله كان ينفي على الدوام أي معرفة بعماد مغنية، بل إن السيد نصر الله أجاب في حديث تلفزيوني عن سؤال عن عماد مغنية بأنه ليس من قادة الحزب، ولا يعرف عنه شيئاً.

الآن نعود إلى الحكاية نفسها. يتكل الغرب على أن حزب الله ليس معروفاً عنه تقديم مقاوميه بطريقة تدل على أعمالهم، لا قبل الاستشهاد ولا حتى بعده. بينما تريد إسرائيل لنا التعرف إلى هؤلاء الأبطال الآن، لكن مع لائحة وظائف تجعلهم إرهابيين وقتلة في نظر العالم وفي نظر أهلهم. وتستهدف أن يستحضر المرء ما نسب إليهم في كل إشارة إلى أسمائهم. إنها لعبة الأبلسة والشيطنة نفسها التي يعتمدها الغرب الإرهابي في وجه خصومه. هم لا يقدرون على فعل الأمر مع أسماء كبيرة مثل السيد نصر الله، لكنهم يريدون القول بأن كل قائد مقاوم إنما هو في حقيقة الأمر إرهابي مجرم وقاتل ومطلوب للعدالة الدولية. إسرائيل تعرف أنها تلاحقهم وتحاكمهم نظراً إلى ما قاموا ويقومون به بوجه احتلالها وإرهابها. لكنها تريد أن تدعي أنها تواجه إرهاباً يعمل على قتل المدنيين والقادة السياسيين، حتى تصل إلى ربط كل اسم لأي مجاهد ومقاوم بعمل إرهابي. تسعى إسرائيل هنا، ومعها الولايات المتحدة، إلى كسر الصورة الجميلة والبطولية لهذا الصنف من المقاومين التي زرعت في الوعي العام عند العرب والمسلمين وعند أحرار العالم.

تعرف إسرائيل أن بدر الدين، أو ذو الفقار أو ما تريد له من أسماء، ليس سوى قائد بارز في المقاومة الإسلامية. تعرفه إسرائيل منذ ربع قرن على الأقل. شاهده ضباطها وجنودها وهو يطاردهم في جنوب لبنان في تسعينيات القرن الماضي، ويقتل منهم المئات ويصيب المئات أيضاً. تلمست آثاره وهو يقود أعمالاً أمنية أنهكت العدو وأصابته بالمفاجأة تلو المفاجأة، وجعلت العالم الأمني يشعر بجيل جديد من المحترفين. تعرفه إسرائيل أيضاً في محطات أكثر قساوة بالنسبة إليها؛ فعندما كان عماد مغنية يخطط ومعه كوادر ومقاومون ينشطون لأجل تنفيذ عملية أسر لجنود العدو، كان هناك في مكان آخر، يقف مصطفى بدر الدين، يعد العدة لأقوى مفاوضات تتيح استعادة مئات الأسرى اللبنانيين والفلسطينيين والعرب حريتهم. كان العقل المحرك لكل المفاوضات. يتحلى بصبر يعينه عليه وعي قيادة المقاومة وحكمتها. وكان يعرف حجم الجهد الذي بذل لنجاح عمليات الأسر، وبالتالي يعرف أن عليه إدارة أكثر المفاوضات تعقيداً لتحقيق أعلى النتائج الممكنة.

تعرفه إسرائيل الآن، واقفاً خلف أقوى جهاز لمكافحة استخباراتها الأمنية والتجسسية. وتعرف كيف نجح مع مجموعة من المقاومين المجهولين، في توجيه أقسى الضربات إلى أقوى أجهزة الاستخبارات في المنطقة والعالم، وكيف استطاع أن يفكك عشرات شبكات التجسس في لبنان وخارج لبنان أيضاً. وتعرفه صلباً حاداً وجاداً في الوصول إلى الأهداف المحددة له. تعرفه لا يرحم أعداءه، ولا يتراجع. وأكثر ما تخشاه إسرائيل، أن هذا الرجل قد يكون هو من يعد العدة لثأر المقاومة من العدو على جريمة اغتيال القائد مغنية. لهذه الأسباب وغيرها تريده إسرائيل، وتريده الولايات المتحدة، وتريده أجهزة أمنية عالمية، ومع الأسف أجهزة أمنية واستخبارية عربية، وربما هناك في لبنان من هو متورط في هذه اللعبة.
يطلب بلمار الرجل لأن من نصبه مدعياً عاماً، ومن فرض عليه مستشاريه ومساعديه، هو من الفريق الذي يريد رأس بدر الدين ورفاقه منذ زمن. هؤلاء يعرفون أنه يقضّ مضاجعهم في كل ما يفعلون، وأنه يقود فريقاً يحصي أنفاس عملائهم المنتشرين في بلادنا أو العاملين من دون توقف على لعبة الفتنة ضد المقاومة في لبنان ، وهم يريدون رأس المقاومة، ولا يهتمون لأي شيء آخر.

ولأن الهدف واضح ومعروف، ولأن ما هو موجود في حوزة المقاومة من وثائق ومعطيات عن عمل كل لجان التحقيق الدولية، وحتى مجموعة بلمار نفسه، ما يكفي لتأكيد الهدف، سيظل مصطفى بدر الدين ورفاقه عناوين للبطولة وللشرف الوطني، بعكس جيش الخونة الذي أطل برأسه في لبنان بمجرد صدور قرار بلمار الاتهامي. هؤلاء الذين ينتشرون على شكل شخصيات سياسية ووجوه إعلامية وكتبة منافقين، ولم يعد من اسم يستحقونه سوى «الخونة».
بعد الذي حصل، ليس هناك ما يحتاج إليه المرء ليتأكد من أهداف الغرب وإسرائيل. لكن ما يحتاج الخونة إلى معرفته، أن ما لم يقله السيد حسن في كلمته أول من أمس، أنه لن يكون بمقدور أحد توقيف هؤلاء. وإذا تسنى لأحدهم مدّ اليد، فهي ستقطع من دون مراجعة أو تفكير؛ لأنها مثل يد إسرائيل التي يعرف المقاومون واجبهم وكيفية التعامل معها إذا ما امتدت إلى أرض أو إنسان في لبنان

امران اساسيان استنتجهما الذين قيض لهم رصد الخطاب الاخير للأمين العام لـ"حزب الله" السيد حسن نصرالله، الاول انه عازم كل العزم على مواجهة ضارية للمحكمة الدولية، وماض في تهشيم صورتها وصورة القرار الاتهامي الصادر عنها من خلال رفضه المساومة على تسليم المتهمين الاربعة "ولو بعد 300 سنة".
والثاني انه اكد ان لا فتنة سنية – شيعية يمكن ان يساهم القرار الاتهامي "الصادر لتوه" في تفجيرها وتغذيتها. ولئن كان في الامر الاول قد ذهب عكس كثير من التوقعات والتكهنات التي راهنت على احتمال ان لا يصل الرجل في تحديه الى هذا المستوى حرصا منه على الاقل، على وضع الحكومة الطرية العود، وعلى صورتها لدى المجتمع الدولي، فإن السؤال المطروح هو على حكم اي الوقائع والاعتبارات اتكأ نصرالله لكي يمضي بعيدا في اطمئنانه الى ان لا تداعيات ومفاعيل ذات صبغة مذهبية للقرار الاتهامي نفسه، ولما تلاه من رفض الحزب المطلق بالتجاوب معه؟
ثمة معلومات يتناقلها بعض المقربين من الحزب مفادها ان هناك من ابلغ الى السيد نصرالله واقعة ان احدى محطات التلفزة اللبنانية بادرت فور ان بلغها نبأ وصول وفد المحكمة الدولية الى وزارة العدل لتسليم المدعي العام التمييزي نص القرار الاتهامي، الى ارسال كاميرا وصحافي الى منطقة الطريق الجديدة لرصد ردة فعل الاهالي على صدور القرار، وان المذيع اياه كان يضطر بين الفينة والفينة الى الظهور على هواء شاشة المحطة بنفسه ليبلغ الى المشاهدين ان لا اثر لأي تجمعات او مظاهر احتجاج او حتى مظاهر "فرح" من جانب الاهالي، مما يوحي أن الحدث المستجد قد فعل فعله في خيبتهم وأنه استحوذ على اهتمامهم ودفعهم الى التفاعل معه سلبا او ايجابا.

ولا شك ايضا ان هذه "الواقعة" تختزن في طياتها دلالات وأبعادا معينة تثبت عقم رهانات المراهنين على ان يحقق القرار الاتهامي بعض ما كانوا يخشون او يتوخون منه، وهو ان يفجر غضب شارع من الشارعين، اي الشارع السني الذي اريد له بعد كل ما حصل ان يتهم الشيعة في لبنان بأنهم اغتالوا زعيمه التاريخي الشهيد رفيق الحريري، والشارع الشيعي الذي اريد ان يتملكه شعور بأنه حمل ظلما جريمة قتل زعيم سني بقامة الرئيس الشهيد الذي سقط في جريمة مدوية قبل نحو 6 أعوام.
كان امر "اللامبالاة" التي تعامل معها الشارعان المعنيان مع القرار الظني لحظة صدوره واقعا قائما، هو المبعث الاول لزيادة اطمئنان المطمئنين الى ان "الدوي" المتوقع والصدى "المنتظر" لهذا القرار على المستوى الشعبي لم يتحقق، ولم يكن هذا "التطور" امرا مفاجئا وبلا مقدمات متراكمة سواء على مستوى "حزب الله" او على مستوى الرئيس سعد الحريري او على المستوى السياسي العام.

فمنذ ظهور تقرير مجلة "دير شبيغل" الاول عام 2008، والذي اوحى الى ان التهمة الكبرى التي كانت بالاصل موجهة نحو دمشق، وتحاصر نظامها من كل الجهات، يعد العدة لكي تنتقل نحو الحزب الخارج حديثا من "انتصار" حرب عام تموز 2006، والشارع في هجوم شرس معاكس ضد الحريرية السياسية بكل فئاتها المجتمعة في قوى 14 اذار، بعدما انفرط زمن "التحالف" الرباعي معها، وشعر بأنها راغبة في احكام الطوق اكثر حوله. منذ ذلك التاريخ، بدأت قيادة هذا الحزب تعد عدة المواجهة على اكثر من جهة وفي مقدمها المسألة التي يخشاها منذ زمن وهي مسألة اثارة مفاعيل الفتنة السنية – الشيعية.
ولا تكتم اوساط الحزب انها تعاملت مع التهمة الاتية صوبها بجرأة متناهية، وشعارها في ذلك قول الامام علي "اذا خشيت من شيء فقع فيه"، اي واجهه بخسارة ولا تتهرب منه، وعليه، ومنذ ذلك الحين ما ترك الحزب وسيلة الا اتبعها ولا طريقا الا سلكه في سبيل اسقاط كل "مهابة" عن هذه المحكمة، وفي سبيل اظهار براءته مقرونة بشبهة تسييس المحكمة الدولية وشيطنتها، كما حينها مسألة الشهود الزور التي ابلى فيها البلاء الحسن، والتي بحسب المعلومات سيعود الحزب الى ملفاتها وتفاصيلها مجددا.

واكثر من ذلك، ابتدأت معركة السيد نصرالله ضد المحكمة بظهوره على الملأ، وهو يفضي الى السامعين بقصة العرض الذي حمله اليه شخصيا الرئيس سعد الحريري، والذي يبلغه بموجبه ان القرار الاتهامي قد نضج وانه سيتهم اشخاصا من الحزب، وهو لذا يعرض على السيد نصرالله ان يقبل بالآتي، اي بأن يكون حزبه متهما ومقاومته التي يفاخر بتضحياتها الكبرى ضالعة في "جريمة"، في مقابل ان يخرج الحريري على الناس قائلا لهم ان الحزب او الطائفة التي يشكل احدى ابرز مفاخرها بريئة.
ولم يعد خافيا ان ثمة شعورا راسخا لدى الدوائر المختصة في الحزب بأنه لم يترك "سترا" يغطي المحكمة الا هتكه طوال الاعوام المنصرمة، حتى انها باتت تقيم على اقتناع بانها صارت عبئا على المدافعين عنها، وصارت وزرا على الطائفة السنية نفسها تنتظر اللحظة التي تتخلص منها، وهذا ما حصل عندما دقت ساعة القرار الاتهامي "وانشق" صدره عن مكنون معروف سلفا بالوقائع والاسماء لم تتضمن اي جديد مطلقا.

وفي مقابل مسلك الحزب هذا كان ثمة كاهل آخر مواز ساهم الى حد بعيد في تبديد هالة القرار الظني وابعاده ومفاعيله، وهو سلوك الرئيس الحريري نفسه.
ففي رأي الدوائر نفسها ان الحريري بدا "حائرا" و"مربكا" منذ البداية في وجود صيغة توائم بين اصدار القرار بصورته التي صدرت وان يقنع المعنيين به (اي الحزب) بقبوله ضمنا من جهة، وان يحقق حلمه في الاحتفاظ بالحكم من جهة اخرى وتأمين ديمومته تكرارا لتجربة والده الشهيد.
وذهابا نحو تحقيق هذه الغاية العزيزة القصوى، سلك الحريري طريقا ملتبسا مثيرا للتساؤلات، فهو على سبيل المثال ذهب فجأة الى دمشق وبات في سرير الرئيس الذي كان يحمله طوال اكثر من اربع سنوات تهمة اغتيال والده، ومضى الى ابعد من ذلك عندما تبرأ بطريقة غير مباشرة من كل مضبطة الاتهام السابقة بحكم دمشق وقال في تصريحه الشهير بأن الاتهامات التي كالها للنظام السوري كانت سياسية.

وسواء كان هذا التصريح قد ورد على لسانه او ان ثمة من قاله عنه، فلم يعد خافيا ان ذلك التحول فاجأ جمهوره وطائفته وقاعدته، ولا سيما انه لم يحسن تبريره وتسويقه بشكل مقنع.
ولم يكتف بذلك، بل قبل بصيغة الـ"سين - سين" اي انه تجاوب مع وساطة سورية – سعودية سعت جادة الى ايجاد صيغة التسوية للموضوع من اساسه، بأصله وما تفرع منه وبني عليه، على نحو يبطل القرار من اساسه ان امكن ويلغي مفاعيله وتداعياته اذا تعذر الخيار الاول.
ولم يعد خافيا ايضا ان الرئيس الحريري قصد طهران نفسها وحل ضيفا معززا على رموز "ولاية الفقيه" التي امضى سنوات هو وفريقه السياسي في ذمها والتحذير من اخطارها، وفي الوقت عينه كان يستقبل اسبوعيا الموفد الخاص للأمين العام لـ"حزب الله" حسين الخليل ويمضي واياه ساعات في قريطم و"بيت الوسط" في مناقشة مستفيضة لكل الاحتمالات والوان الخيارات.
كل ذلك نزع من قلوب قاعدته ومحازبيه مسبقا كل امكانات التعبئة والتحريض التي يمكن ان تحدث مستقبلا وعند الحاجة اليها، وجعل هذه القاعدة في حالة تأقلم مسبقة مع القرار المعروف سلفا، ولم يكن ليشكل مفاجأة او يحدث دويا عند صدوره بعد طول انتظار.
وبناء على هذه المعطيات مجتمعة ومتفرقة فإن السيد نصرالله سيمضي قدما هذه المرة في مواجهة القرار الاتهامي من دون ان يكون عنده هاجس لخوف من ورقة الفتنة التي طالما كان يخشى ان يلعبها خصومه

I believe that Hizbullah has achieved what it has planned for in the interim while not abandoning any of its long term strategic objectives, irrespective whether one agrees with it or think it is tenable.

Let us look at the awe with which the State of Israel’s war machine used to be viewed, regionally and internationally. It certainly is not a rosy picture anymore. Tactically speaking, Israel, since 1948, has been operating with impunity in the South of Lebanon. Now, extreme care is the order of the era. No more 1978 or 1982, 1996 etc. The year 2000 and the outcome of 2006 insured that. Moreover, the existence of the Hizbullah factor has made it incumbent on the State of Israel to rethink its tactics, if not strategies. For the first time since 1948, or even before, the State has been operating in a reactive mode, not the pro-active entity that operated with no accountability by its belligerents.

What I am trying to allude to is that the borders are currently ‘calm’, is a direct consequence of Hezbollah's imposed deterrence rather than the other way round. Lest we forget, it has invariably been the State of Israel that initiated invasions, not the other way round, irrespective of the reasons/rationale.

Wouldn’t any sane person/organization be fearful in the face of almost universal animosity based solely on its political and strategic options? Let us look who is stacked against Hezbollah: USA, Israel, Western Europe in general (although even the stance within the EU is not uniform), the UN (although that doesn’t reflect much as we all know the subservience of the UN, especially the Security Council to certain interests/agendas.
That said I believe that Hezbollah is no longer fearful of the STL, although the nightmare of the Sunni-Shiite schism developing into street skirmishes remains something that the organization is monitoring closely. The organization is resigned to fighting what it believes to be a vehicle to at least weaken it. The Hizbullah is mistrustful of the STL for reasons it has made public on many occasions. Of course this is a matter of much debate. But the mere debate surrounding the STL makes it more vulnerable in the court of ‘public opinion’, the exact battlefield that Hizbullah selected for its fight....

واعتبر"ان هذا الاتهام لا يساوي قيمة الحبر الذي كتب فيه، والمقصود منه تجييش الرأي العام الدولي وتحريض الدول العربية والاسلامية واميركا اللاتينية والشمالية ضد المقاومة وشيء اسمه حزب الله في لبنان، علهم ينجحون في محاصرة المقاومة وتضييق الخناق عليها، نفسيا وسياسيا وماليا واجتماعيا".

أضاف: "من تحمل حربكم العالمية في العام 2006 يهون عليه تحمل كذبتكم الاخيرة من خلال القرار الاتهامي، وكما سقطت اهدافكم في حرب ال2006، ستسقط مفاعيل هذه الكذبة وسترتد عليكم ايضا وعلى كل من تورط معكم في نسج المكائد والاشاعات والاتهامات والادعاءات الكاذبة والاخباريات الملفقة التي ليس لها دليل على الاطلاق، فكلما تحركتم من خلال القرار الاتهامي أو من خلفه، سنواصل الضغط من جهتنا ايضا، وهذا حق من حقوقنا من اجل ان نحاكم كل شهود الزور الذين ظلموا الضباط الاربعة على مدى ثلاث سنوات وظلموا الرأي العام العالمي اللبناني والعربي واتهموا دولا شقيقة وكادوا ان يخلقوا حالة عدائية بين لبنان وسوريا من جراء التلفيق الكاذب للاتهامات السابقة، من لفق تلك الاتهامات هو من لفق القرار الاتهامي وهو يقصد تحقيق نفس الاهداف ولكن بأسلوب جديد، وسيفشل كما فشل في اسلوبه القديم".

At the same time, there is inherent antagonism and factionalism built into such a system, the consequences of which have exacted a heavy toll in terms of Lebanon's unity fro decades, hindering the emergence of a stable social contract. This is still all too evident today....

That's the dispiriting backdrop to the persistent anti-sectarian manifestations, demands from the youth and the Taef Accords..., still unenforced after 12 years. It may be the politically correct position to oppose sectarianism, but it is too ingrained in the Lebanese psyche to be abolished at the stroke of a pen. The sectarian order is deeply debilitating, but it also offers the only mechanism Lebanon has to enforce equilibrium, therefore preserving a semblance of political and social pluralism.... If sectarianism is to be eliminated, it first needs to be slowly dismantled from within, and only then can it be transcended...., I.E. never in a million years, which is a real shame....

DISTINGUISHING HEROES, LEADERS, TYRANTS AND VILLAINS...

I’ve been studying for an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) for the last two years, and something incredible related to heroes and leaders struck me in my first year. There we were, a group of articulate, intelligent and experienced MBA students (supposedly!), having a vigorous classroom discussion with our lecturer about leadership, but when it came to trying to distinguish between the sort of leadership embodied by Hitler as opposed to Gandhi we were unable to come up with a robust distinction to separate the two. Everything we proposed could be applied equally as validly to Hitler as to Gandhi: commitment, communication, vision, courage, the desire to make a difference and so on. About the best we could do was to say that one of them was bad and the other good, in a moral sense.

Hence their goals, bad in one case and good in the other, were innately the reason for the difference in the quality of their leadership, or their right to be considered a hero. The dissatisfying thing about that approach to what separates desirable from undesirable leaders, and by extension makes one a hero and the other a villain, is the circularity and relativism of using notions of morality to define the realm of leadership.

This debate should be familiar to nearly everyone. The Hitler of USA.... vs. Gandhi thing comes up time and again, yet how much progress do we make towards articulating why one is ‘bad’ and the other ‘good’? Circularity arises if reference is made to good and bad as distinguishers because we start from the assumption that a hero is good and a villain bad, so all we are doing is reinforcing that first assumption, not actually explaining what it is about the two approaches to leadership that make one of them ‘bad’ and the other ‘good’. It is like saying that you must stop at a red traffic light because it is red, and you are allowed to proceed through a green traffic light because it is green. In fact, the reason why you must stop at a red traffic light is not because it is red, but because it relates to right of way: others are relying on you to stop since that is the rules of the traffic light game; if you do not stop, you may cause an accident by breaching those rules. That is the real reason why you must stop at a red traffic light, not because (somewhat arbitrarily) red ended up being the signifier of that particular rule about who has right of way. In the same way, saying that Gandhi is a hero (a good leader) because he is good and Hitler OF USA, .....a villain (a bad leader) because he is bad is to apply labels without identifying what is signified underneath those labels. So how do we get beyond this circularity problem?

First we also need to clarify the issue of relativism.....CIA....

The relativism problem is summed up by the expression, ‘One person’s terrorist is another person’s freedom fighter’. I do not truly believe that this statement is in itself a valid assertion on which to base a consideration of moral action, but philosophically it is a perfectly valid assertion about the names we assign to phenomena in the world. A person who happens to lead a group of terrorists, or fascists, could well be a leader, and may be considered a hero. In like manner, a group of freedom fighters, or civil rights activists, could be led by a leader/hero, because the moral frames of reference for each group, and for outside observers, will determine who is considered a terrorist and who a freedom fighter. However, this does not help us get beyond those very frames of reference.

What further distinctions could be made about leader/heroes to create space between the goodies and the baddies, given that the frame of reference may change?

Had I been a black South African in the 1970s or 1980s, my frame of reference could have been vastly different from that of a white South African, or even a white female British prime minister. Can we ever get beyond frames of reference and break out of the circularity problem?

Two considerations may help us define the desirable leadership of a hero from the undesirable leadership of a tyrant. The first is whether the leader offers an inclusive vision or an exclusive one.

The second is from what level of being the person is operating: the level of self, or the level of the universal.

Let’s take each consideration in turn. Firstly: vision.

People consistently rate vision as a hallmark of a leader. Leaders have vision.

Leaders successfully share that vision with others. Leaders inspire others to transform that vision into reality. They do so using vastly different styles of leadership. All of this is pretty uncontroversial, but the varying styles of leadership tend to confuse us. We find it easier to perceive the differences, than the similarities, between leaders whose styles are as different as Winston Churchill, Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln and Jesus Christ.

The leader as hero is a figure facing great odds. Heroism is born in the crucible of hardship, but the thing which sustains the hero leader is a vision which is inclusive. The putative lone hero of romance literature can keep his white horse, his shining armour and the devotion of his maiden. Heroes who would lead others must offer a vision which is not restricted to classes, groups or cliques. Unlike the wartime trio of Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini, who cultivated favorites and deliberately set one group against another to strengthen their grip on power and to rally the worst in people’s fears and insecurities, Gandhi had a vision which was open to all and which sought to unite, not divide, peoples.

Could we certainly not say the same thing of Jesus Christ, of Christ’s vision as open to all?

Secondly, there is the level at which a leader operates as a human. Knowledge of this can be accessed using a number of tools, many of them based in psychology and social theory. One useful emerging field of study in the world of management is drawn from the work of R. Barrett, who distinguishes a number of levels of individual consciousness and then applies them to corporations1. Cowan & Todorovic relate levels of thought, both individual and corporate, to different colours for ease of association.2 What both of them set out is the distinction between living life at the level of self, where one’s goals, aspirations and concerns are shaped by a primary concern for the ego and ‘making it’ in the world of survival, and living life at a higher level, of concern for family, community, organisations, the world, and even the universe/cosmos.

Leaders who truly are heroes, and not villains, have an inclusive vision and operate at a universal level. They have transcended living at the level of the individual self, and instead seek to make a contribution to the quality of life of all peoples, and indeed to transform the quality of life itself. Many argue that Hitler did have a grand vision that went beyond himself and involved the transformation of the world, or at least certainly of Europe, but although the sphere of operations Hitler conceived was larger than himself, his leadership activities were at heart all about Hitler the man. They were about his grasp for power, his desire to dominate, and his tyrannical choice to live out a life based on the gratification, enlargement and fulfillment of his self using an exclusive approach, not the transformation of the quality of life for all peoples inclusively.

If you doubt that, just ask an Arab , a gypsy, a communist, an atheist, or any one of many other groups of persecuted people what they think about it.

Biblical Heroism vs. Worldly Heroism

Worldly heroism is all about what you do. These heroes are the ones who manage to conquer nations, or who rescue people or who overcome some personal battle.

In contrast, I think biblical heroism is a character trait of trust in God. The biblical heroes I identify with the most are probably Peter and David. David: because he made lots of mistakes but said he was sorry, earnestly, and also because he was very honest with God. Peter: because he starts out very differently to who he becomes, and he matures slowly. You can really follow his journey of maturing, especially throughout Acts. Another hero I really love is Gideon because he lets God be his hero.

I think that is what the essence of Christian heroism has to be: relying on God for everything and also giving everything back to God, including all the glory. Hence a Christian hero might go totally unnoticed because they have made their ‘ambition to lead a quiet life’, as Paul said. Heroes are those whose impacts on us are so great that they become personal motivators for what we aspire to be or do.

CHRISTIAN HEROES: JUST A LOT OF DEAD GOOD-PEOPLE?

Heroes are those whose impacts on us are so great that they become personal motivators for what we aspire to be or do. They are figures of faith as well as fact. People and societies seem to need such people to function properly and meet the continual challenges that life throws up at us, and because life is many-faceted, many different types of heroes exist side by side. There are family, military, humanitarian and sporting heroes, just to mention a few. Some heroes, such as ‘HK’ Elie HOBEIKA, are universally admired by all people"in the know". Others, such as Shane Warne or Karl Marx, are very controversial. In fact, heroes can just as readily divide as inspire.

Heroes can wax and wane with the times. Adolph Hitler, once an inspiration to tens of millions is now almost universally reviled. Mao Tse Tung, now revealed to have a spotty past, is being seriously re-evaluated by the Chinese, and his heroic status will almost certainly diminish. Other heroes, like Ozymandeus, simply fade away. Some heroes are blown up figures or simply inventions. Samir Geagea is a criminal buffoon , an impotent thug and a violent killer, Horst Wessel, the NAZI hero, was a drunken thug, grotesquely transformed. Ern O’Malley never existed. Indeed, such figures are obvious examples of the need for heroes to be supported by the media of the times.... A hero whom nobody knows about is a hero known only to God. There are great dangers attributing heroic status to people whilst they are still alive. Only royal figures can safely have entities named after them in their lifetimes. Princes Margaret Hospital will not be renamed despite her revealed weaknesses. However, how embarrassing for a community to have a prominent place named after a public figure now residing in gaol! All this applies to our personal heroes. The aunt, priest, coach or teacher we idolise is, as we, a sinner, and at any time likely to burst the balloon.

Our community in Christ, our Church, has addressed our need for reputable heroes in this way:

1. Its heroes, called saints, must be dead.

2. Their being designated as saints is at the end of a long and carefully defined process of fact and faith.

3. The Church has its ‘royal family’ of Jesus, Mary, Peter, Paul and the other disciples and apostles.

4. The (more or less) contemporary documentation on this ‘family’, primarily the Holy Bible, although incomplete and sometimes contradictory, is itself, by faith, given a type of heroic status.

5. Others, not (yet) accorded sainthood, are accorded role model status, again after careful processing, and variously called ‘blessed’, ‘venerable’, ‘doctor’, etc. They are not mentioned in the Bible and their lives include evidence that may possibly be open to less favorable interpretation.

6. Our Christian heroes, most especially Jesus, are brought before us by regular ritual, especially sacraments and preaching. Schools, church buildings, and so on are named after them. Does this systematic ‘playing safe’ approach take away from the wonderful experience of adoring Elvis, Bradman, or Bonhoeffer? Or, especially, Jesus?! Of course, with faith comes risk, to us and to our heroes. Unfortunately this risk in the heroism stakes is very high. A blink, and Oscar Wilde, Jimmy Swaggart, the priestly pederast and company are gone. With them can go very many shattered faiths and lives. Perhaps the Church is right to have its gallery of dead and processed heroes. For those of us in the Faith this shadowy ‘company of the dead’ is not that at all. They are alive, woven around us in a wonderful fellowship to which our faith in Jesus, the Son of God, has admitted us....

I differentiate between HA and the idea of resistance. I supported the resistance against PLO thugs, murderers and terrorists before HA was around, and will continue to support the right to resist and defend our country against any invading enemy. I will support whoever leads a nationalist Resistance movement with clear objectives.

No one is asking Lebanese to like HA or defend them. No one is asking Lebanese to defend the south. All I’m asking Lebanese to do, is to be honest, and put their prejudice and political views aside, and be objective when caricaturizing historical events, and stop being Israeli or American apologists....

I have often criticized HA , for many decisions they took, and look forward for the day Lebanon won’t need a resistance by HA or any other party.... but that day is far, far from happening, so long that we have such crooked neighbors...

Lebanese have the right to hate HA and what it stands for, but Lebanese are wrong, putting it nicely, to not to see Israel’s responsibility in murdering thousands of our own people since 1948....and counting.

As for the illegal weapons; who determines what is legal and what is not? When the south was under Israel’s constant attack for the past 65 years, who volunteered to defend it? Lebanese from the south...seeking to defend their homes, farms villages and towns.... Was it the Lebanese government, or Lebanese warlords...? Or was it the so called international community? Or the incompetent modern Arab states who are collapsing one after another?

A state can’t ignore its people for 65 years and leave them defenseless, yet claim the right to categorize those who defend themselves as illegal....PERIOD. and no one else can either....

A state can’t ignore its responsibilities toward building hospitals, roads, and basic services, yet complain that Iran or Qatar or anyone else, is building infrastructure in the south. It does not have to be this way... We should not need to have Iran or Hezbollah or Qatar do the jobs, the state is supposed to do for decades....

We all watched the shameful performance of the traitorous/collaborators Siniora government during the 2006 war and the negligence afterwards, with the relief efforts....etc, Nothing, for Lebanese to be proud of. So, “Bala Shatara”, and let’s not try to score meaningless points about lost arguments.... This is not about blindly supporting or blindly opposing. Lebanese just should not do that. All I know is that ,where we came from, is an area that suffered so much at the hands of Israelis, and their Lebanese agents ,such as the criminals of Samir Geagea's Lebanese forces, Lahad army of traitors the SLA..., or the thuggish PLO and Arafat....and it was not March14th lackeys , or the Lebanese government who liberated it.... Until Lebanon can change these facts, March14th Lebanese have no right to tell people how to defend themselves....

If Lebanese have to listen to people like the March14th traitors and stooges of the CIA/MOSSAD/GID/KSA/EGID/DGSE/MI6/BND creeps, Israel would still have an embassy in Jounieh....
Being labeled as terrorist or illegal …. Etc. is not a good thing, yet it is much better than dying cowardly....

"Invade Israel" and "invade ALL of Israel" are different propositions... So I don't know exactly what Nasrallah could have had in mind. Did he want Hezbollah to go down and liberate Gaza, or did he just want to infiltrate some forces into northern Israel and bring the war inside Israel's territory.

If Hezbollah decided to cross into Israel proper, the Israeli Air Force would be useless as Hezbollah does not have the kind of assets which an Air Force could engage. No armor, no vehicles (except maybe 4x4 SUVs), no logistical lines which could be cut, no heavy artillery, etc. So we can forget about the Israel Air Force being useful...

If I had to send Hezbollah fighters inside Israel, I would send them in, in small groups of 5-7 men, on foot, with mostly sabotage and psyops in mind. I suspect that such an infiltration would result in quite a nice panic (Israelis are cowards, they have shown that over and over again) which, in itself, might be an interesting thing to exploit fully....

The Israeli military is simply too large to beat in a regular kind of war. I don't think that Hezbollah would ever try to hold on to any terrain inside Israel. But that does not mean that it cannot strike deep. I would not be surprised at all if I learned one day that Hezbollah has Hebrew-speaking units, equipped with IDF uniforms and close to perfect ID cards. Such units could be sent into Israeli cities and create chaos. Not only that, but if Hezbollah decided to send it, say, 3 such teams, the Israelis would not know if there are 3 of them or 5 or 20. So, again, Hezbollah could engage in unconventional warfare inside Israel proper without "invading" or, much less so, "occupying" the Galilee....but, rather "Conquering" the Galilee...remembering that the Galilee is mostly inhabited by Arabs/1948.....who are amenable to say the least.....and in waiting.....

I will say that I do not think that the Israelis would be very expert at defending against such a move. It is one thing to terrorize Palestinian civilians, and quite another to being proficient in counter special forces operations... Add to this that the Israeli military is a mediocre infantry force whose skills have been greatly degraded over the years. Finally, the IDF is very afraid to operate inside the Palestinian territories (their soldiers all think about Gilad Shalit or how they got snatched by Hezbollah in 2006). So if the Hezbollah forces stay mostly within the Galilee border towns or the West Bank section which is not controlled by the Israelis, they could be relatively safe.

The biggest danger for any Hezbollah deep infiltration unit would not be the Israeli settlers themselves who are not motivated and who would not be fighting on their stolen land at least that is how they would perceive it... I expect that the counter-infiltration capabilities of the settlers to be mediocre and their level of vigilance and determination to flee and run for cover in Tel Aviv very high... So if I had to send in Hezbollah fighters I would tell them to attack the settlements as much as possible...

Paradoxically, IDF units inside Israel are probably rather easy targets. I expect that their sentries are bored, their discipline poor, and their skills very mediocre. Ounce the alert is given, IDF units, supported by Shin Bet, Border Guards and various police forces would probably dramatically increase the security of IDF camps, but initially they could be an excellent target....

Still, the most psychologically effective attack would probably be inside a city, on a symbolical target. That would result into a good panic which would put pressure on the political leadership. Combine that with rocket strikes and I say that Hezbollah might, for the first time, really bring the fighting inside Israel....and Hezbollah will fully liberate the Shebaa farms, Kafarshouba and the seven villages including Nkheileh..., should Israel launch any new war of aggression on Lebanon anytime soon....

.....Speech by Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah!

I take refuge in Allah against the stoned devil. In the Name of Allah, The Compassionate, The Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, The Lord of the world. Peace be on the Seal of prophets - our Master and Prophet Abi Al Qassem Mohammad - and on his chaste and pure Household, chosen companions and all prophets and messengers.

First we salute the souls of our martyrs – the chaste pure souls – especially the souls of the leader martyrs and to their souls we offer the reward of Al Fatiha Surah.

Scholars, brothers and sisters! Peace be upon you all and Allah's mercy and blessing. I welcome you on this day on which we mark one of the dearest occasions in our jihadi and religious life.

First I would like to extend my regards to the families of the martyrs: the family of our master Hezbollah Secretary General martyr leader His Eminence Sayyed Abbass Mussawi (May Allah bless his soul), the family of the struggling sacrificing faithful chaste martyr Um Yasser Mussawi and martyr Hussein, the family of our dear Sheikh martyr leader – the Sheikh of the Islamic Resistance martyrs – Sheikh Ragheb Harb, the family of the great jihadi leader, the leader of victories and the prince of battlefields – Hajj Imad Moghniyeh, Hajj Ridwan – May Allah bless all their souls.

This occasion today coincides with a number of occasions which we must mention before ushering in my speech. One of these occasions is the great occasion of the birth of the great Prophet – the seal of prophets Abi Al Qassem Mohammad Bin Abdullah (pbuh). As you know there are several views. Some say the Prophet (pbuh) was born on 12 Rabi I, and others say he was born on 17 Rabi I. this is a point of dispute. Imam Khomeini (May Allah bless his soul) – the Imam of Islamic unity said: Let's change the point of dispute to a point of unity and concurrence. Let the week from 12 Rabi I to 17 Rabi I be a week for Islamic unity and days of meeting, cooperation and adherence between Muslims - all Muslim factions and all the followers of various Islamic sects. I offer my blessings on this occasion to all Muslims and I ask Allah Al Mighty to make us really among the followers of this great Prophet.

Among the occasions of these days also is the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran on February 11th, 1979 which met this year with the occasion of the victory of the revolution of the Egyptian people and youths against the tyrant. It is a sign of good fortune that February 11th be a day of the collapse of the most important and powerful and the greatest allies of America and Israel in the region: the shah regime in Iran and the regime of Husni Mubarak in Egypt.

Among the important occasions is the assassination of PM martyr Rafiq Hariri on February 14th, 2005. This bloody event had great and serious repercussions on the situation in Lebanon and the region which we are still living.

The occasion we meet to mark is the anniversary of our martyr leaders. When we mark their anniversary we don't aim to glorify them. They are not in need for any glorification or praise. We rather do that for our benefit and not for their sake. In marking the anniversary of the martyr leaders and all martyrs we sit in their presence and between their hands, and they are masters and teachers. We learn from them and inspire from their jihad and conduct. We are guided with their views and chaste souls. We also sit in their presence again to renew our oath and pledge to continue on the path they paved with their chaste blood.

Last year I tackled some of the common points between these martyr leaders. Today I will add some of these common features between Sheikh Ragheb Harb, Sayyed Abbass Mussawi and Hajj Imad. They were the founders of this Resistance from the very first moments and days. They set the cornerstones of this Resistance. They made the first shouts and shots of the Resistance. Among their common features also is that they never lagged behind, abandoned, gave up or got tired or despaired. On the contrary, they had a permanent active, influential, productive and creative leading presence. They devoted their youth and lives to the Resistance. They sacrificed their own lives for this Resistance.

Moreover, these great leaders stand for the entire 30-year stage of the history of our Resistance. In a year the age of our Islamic Resistance will be exactly 30 years. They stand for the entire past 30 years of the history of the Resistance as well as the history of Lebanon and the region. Each one of them was a symbol at one of the stages. Their blood integrated and all through these thirty years used to give more power, awareness, determination, resolution, love, trust and certitude about the future and the stages of victory to come. We never viewed our martyrs, leaders and Resistance as independent from the general situation in Lebanon, the region and the nation. We’re a part and a continuation of the fighters, the Resistance leaders and the leader founders of the Lebanese Resistance on the top of whom comes His Eminence Imam Mussa Sadre – may Allah restore him and both his friends - and many leaders in the Lebanese Resistance, the Palestinian Resistance and the Arab Resistance. We do not view our martyrs, leaders and Resistance but as part of this movement of awakening and awareness in the region and part of the resistance movement and the challenge. As is the case of Lebanon in the regional equations – it influences them and is influenced by them – the resistance movements, which we are proud of being and are still a part of, are the normal response. They are and are still the normal response of the peoples in the region to the invasions, occupations and the projects of hegemony and domination.

The Resistance movements and the peoples of the region never attacked anybody or launched a war against anyone. Their project was never that of war and fighting. Rather they were aggressed against. Their lands and sanctities were invaded. Their honor and dignity were overstepped. Their independence and decision were confiscated. The Resistance movements in the region constituted and still constitute the only guarantee of achieving justice, stability and peace.

Allow me today to talk about justice and stability because what we are heading to in Lebanon in the coming few weeks comes under the title of the new American political invasion of Lebanon. (They surely aren't allowed to do it militarily). I will start with a word on justice before talking for a while about the region, Israel and Lebanon. I have three topics.

The Resistance movements alone achieve justice, stability and peace in the region. We agree that any peace in the region or any stability in the region or in Lebanon or in any other place in the world is naturally conditioned by justice and achieving justice. Peace and stability which are based on injustice, oppression, violation of the rights of others and harming the dignities of people cannot be a true peace and a permanent stability. Rather no soon it will fall and collapse. Accordingly we found our viewpoint and continue on our path and jihad.

Let's go back to the very roots of the cause – as these days are the days of going back to the roots. The primary and essential problem in the region for more than 60 years has two phases or two integrating and complementary parts.

The first part is the existence of the entity that is usurping occupied Palestine: Israel. The Zionist movement started the war. Neither the Palestinians, nor the Lebanese, nor the Syrians, nor the Jordanians, nor the Egyptians nor any people of the peoples in the region attacked the Jews or the Zionists or the followers of the Zionist project in any place in the world. Even if we went back hundreds of years in history we would find that the followers of Judaism used to live in the countries of the Arabs and Muslims in peace and security most of the times. At times they enjoyed more security than Muslims themselves who used to have problems with the successive sultans, rulers and governments.

It's they who came to Palestine and the region. It's they who aggressed, killed, slaughtered, perpetrated crimes, burnt down houses and crops, confiscated properties and expelled a people from their land. It's they who started the war with absolute western support and adoption – that's not to talk about the Arab stance in 1948. It's they who launched wars of expansion towards the rest of Palestine, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon. The resistance movements in Palestine and the region and the opposition governments were found as a right, honorable, national, religious and moral response to this occupation and all these crimes.

Thus we say that it's true that the logic of the resistance and the logic of justice is a normal condition for stability. What does justice require? Here I would like to address this speech also to Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton who daily talk about justice and stability.

Justice has come to have two phases:

The first phase: Justice requires that rights be restored to their owners. That means that the land, properties, fields and houses must be returned to their owners who still keep the keys of their houses and dream of return. Justice requires that millions of Palestinians in exodus and Palestinian refugees in the land occupied since 1967 return to their land. Justice also requires that the Islamic and Christian sanctities be returned to their owners. Justice requires that the Palestinian people establish their state all over their land from the river to the sea. This is the first phase. The second phase of justice requires punishing war criminals, massacres' perpetrators and perpetrators of crimes against humanity. This is justice. Under such a justice, there would be unequaled peace, security and stability in the region. However, seeking fake peace through frustrating negotiations that offer more scandalous concessions which do not return any right to its owner but on the contrary rewards the criminals and the killers and offers awards to them can not achieve peace at all. How far is the US administration from justice and stability in the region! How far is the US administration and the western administrations also from returning rights to their owners and from establishing international tribunals to try Zionist war criminals who are rather receiving more support and protection and who are imposing their conditions on the Palestinians and are on the judicial and legal level enjoying in some western countries laws amendments so that no one may file a suit against an Israel general who is a war criminal.

The second part of the problem in the region is this US-western system which was founded through a group of dictatorships which rule their peoples with a fiery iron fist. They have ruled their peoples for decades while being backed by political forces and cultural, media and religious elites. The mission of this US system in our region and countries is protecting the vital US interests on all domains: economic interests on top of which is fuel, political interests and security interests the core of which is Israel. Thus Israel was and is still the norm. the Qoran teaches us about norms: {The kindest among you is the most pious}. The more man is away from sin and closer to obedience he would be kinder and closer to Allah. In comparison, the closer the regime in any Arab or Islamic country or organization or elite or group or political party or media outlet is to Israel, the more it preserves the interests of Israel and protects the security and peace of Israel, the closer and more important it would be to the successive US administrations. The norm of closeness and farness from America is not human rights, democracy or public freedoms; it is rather the service of our regimes in our region to Israel. If the regime is at even with Israel, defends Israel and protects Israel, it would be a strategic ally to the USA which protects it and offers it billions of dollars as various aids and let it do whatever it wants with its people. Let it be a dictatorship or a democracy. Let there be elections or not. Let there be freedoms or not. Let there be hundreds of thousands of prisoners. Let there be hundreds of thousands of graves. That is of no importance. What is important is that the regime offers the required services to Israel that constitutes the heart and the crown of the US project in the region. However if an Arab or Islamic regime which is a resisting or at least an opposing regime – even if it does not fight Israel but it does not submit and yield to Israel's conditions or sign a humiliating settlement – it will be subject to siege, sanctions, pressure, isolation and conspiracy. Let's not mention names and details. Hasn't this been the case for decades with the various successive regimes in our region?

As we are still close to the occasion of February 11, I still remember that in the onset of the movement of Imam Khomeini in the early sixties and following some speeches which were followed with some demonstrations, a delegation from the Savac (The Shah's security body which was run by the Americans) came to the Imam and told him: You can say whatever you want. There is no problem in that. We will not prevent you from speaking. Make speeches and issue statements. Do whatever you want but there are red lines which you may not approach: first America, second Israel and third the person of the Shah. As for the prime minister, the ministers, the parliament and the party, the mayors and servants who follow the Shah, there is no problem in saying anything about them. But the formers are red lines. The regime in Iran was an American regime. The Americans were the ones who used to run Iran. The Shah was just the face. It was an Israeli regime and not a strategic ally to Israel. However the Imam (May Allah bless his soul) – who was clear courageous and bold - in his first speech following the meeting told the people that the Savac came and told him so and so. Here I am telling you: This revolution comes under the title of expelling America from Iran, expelling Israel from Iran and toppling the Shah who is a collaborator to America and Israel. Then they took him to the jail and he was about to be executed. According to US categorization, you are in the axis of good, righteousness and peace if you are with Israel and you are in the axis of evil and terrorism not if you fight Israel but simply if you refuse to submit to Israeli conditions.

Brothers and sisters! I will wrap up this title before moving to the title of Israel which is having support and is arrogant and tyrannical. The system of US regimes in the region led the peoples of our region and our nation to a state of despair in achieving any victory. In the seventies people felt that we entered the Israeli-US era and we can't get out from it. Israel is a final fait accompli and America is a great power. Consequently let's see what benefits we might achieve below this ceiling.

The major blow to the resistance, opposition and Arab steadfastness project was the participation of the Egyptian regime in Camp David Agreement and consequently the emergence of Egypt from the Arab-Israeli struggle. However it is said: Allah tries and offers assistance at the same time. No soon the strongest earthquake in the region took place. It's the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran on February 11, 1979. This revolution indeed made a true earthquake: It severed the US hand in Iran and expelled the Americans who used to rule and run the minute daily details of life in Iran. It cut ties with Israel and turned the Israeli Embassy to a Palestinian Embassy. It turned from a strategic ally to Israel to a central strategic base that supports the project of the resistance and opposition in the region. That was a great historic and strategic change. Thus Iran was confronted with siege, sanctions, isolation and wars…

For thirty years, this confrontation lasted in our region and under very difficult conditions. Syria remained steadfast and the Palestinian people kept on resisting and fighting. Then the Resistance in Lebanon was given birth. In the past decade, great developments took place in Iraq, Afghanistan, and in the past few months in Tunisia. However, in the past few days the greatest and most important development took place in Egypt in addition to what is taking place currently in more than one Arab country – Bahrain, Yemen, Jordan... However the greatest and most important event that took place in these few months is what took place on February 11th. Another regime in the US system collapsed before the will of the people, youth and faith. It is the regime of ousted Husni Mubarak.

No doubt what took place in Egypt is historic and great. Here we must salute the Egyptian people, youth and revolution first for what they offered to the nation. Our Resistance and Hezbollah offer them special thanks because this revolution was the true reason behind the liberation of brethren captive Mohammad Mansour who is participating in our celebration and whom we welcome whole-heartedly. I hope when you see him that you recall the charges he was accused of: seeking to overthrow the regime of Husni Mubarak - Imagine that! This is one of the accusations. Others are shaking the security and stability in Egypt, spreading the sect of Shiites and turning Egypt to a Shiite state! These are the accusations which he was in fact accused of by the Egyptian courts. These are absurd accusations. The truth is what we said in all the stages which we spoke in about the case of brethren Sami Shehab and what was called Hezbollah cell in Egypt. We offer our thanks to Egypt and its people for freeing all these prisoners including our dear brethren.

No doubt that what took place in Egypt is historic and very great. Today there is a great dispute. Where will the revolution lead to? What achievements will be made? Will it annul Camp David? We do not have enough time to say our views on this issue. However I may say that regardless of what will happen in Egypt, there are great changes in the post Husni Mubarak era that differ in essence and quality from what used to take place under Husni Mubarak’s regime. This is for sure. The most important repercussion is on Israel. Hereof, I usher to the second topic which is Israel. However I wrap up the first topic saying that the US system started to collapse and decline. Let's keep that in mind when we come to the topic of Lebanon because the story of Lebanon is not that of March 8 and March 14 Blocs. Then we will recall this system and the US project…

The most important repercussion is on Israel and on the entire US system in the region including Lebanon naturally. That's because Husni Mubarak left orphans in Egypt, Palestine and Lebanon. No doubt the region has entered a new stage. The enemy's Prime Minister Netanyahu talks about an earthquake with unpredictable repercussions. He is rightful because all the US, Israel and world intelligence bodies were taken by surprise with what took place in Tunisia, Egypt and the region. No doubt the greater loser in the developments and changes in the region are America - which is seeking to reduce its losses and to contain these changes – and Israel and the US system. So whoever links his fate and decision and future to the Americans is also a loser in what is and will take place.

On the Israeli level, it is clear that there is a state of fear and worry in the Israeli entity. Great efforts are now being exerted to reconsider strategies. During the past 20 or 30 years they based their strategies on the fact that the southern front – according to them – which is adjacent to Egypt is a secure quiet front and that on the other side of the frontier there is a strategic strong and firm ally. Consequently they were reassured about this front. They did not need to work on the army structure or squads according to the possibility of a confrontation taking place with Egypt or tension with Egypt at least or a threat from the Egyptian frontier as a mere possibility. They were reassured that they had a strong guard at this frontier. Thus when we look at Occupied Palestine's map, we notice that during the past decades many military airports and air bases and other bases were moved from the north and the middle to the south of occupied Palestine on the basis that it is a secure area far from the sole remaining front with Lebanon and Syria. Now they have to reconsider the whole situation. They can't act on the basis that the south of occupied Palestine is an area which is by any means free from threat no matter what the situation in Egypt would be.

On the other hand, the Israelis bet greatly on the Egyptian regime to control Gaza and the siege on it and on pressuring on the Palestinians to accept Israeli conditions. For long years, we used to hear from the Palestinian brethrens the magnitude of pressure which was practiced by the regime of Husni Mubarak and so and so who are affiliated to this regime on them to accept Israeli crusts. The Palestinians used to feel frustrated as a result of this pressure. Anyway, we all are aware of the position of the regime of Husni Mubarak from the war on Gaza. We are also aware – though we used not to talk much in the past because we did not like to cause trouble – of the role the regime of Husni Mubarak and other regimes which still exist but will collapse, Inshallah, played during July 2006 War. Few days ago, the Israelis said that during July War, Mubarak contacted them and told them to carry on. "You are in the midway so why don't you carry on July war". No doubt the face of Husni Mubarak was among the faces in the Arab world which were humiliated after the resistance gained victory in July War.

Indeed the change is very great according to the Israelis even if Egypt did not fight because the new developments will always be a source of worry to the Israeli enemy and of fear from unexpected unforeseen changes in Egypt as was the overthrow of the regime. Here I will quote two words said by Israeli figures to affirm what I am saying. Israeli War Minister Ehud Barak said while talking about our borders: The whole region is changing before our eyes. We have seen what took place in Lebanon where the government has turned to an uncomfortable government for several reasons (Now grasp what he means and how the situation was) and is more affiliated to Hezbollah. We have also seen what took place in Tunisia and now in Egypt." So Barak is talking like some figures in the Lebanese internal speak to the effect of accusing the government beforehand of being the government of Hezbollah while it is not as such. Barak added: "I do not think that there are instant repercussions for the protests in Egypt; however it seems to us how much the region is unstable (Twenty years ago Israel used to enjoy stability, power and hegemony. It wanted to impose its conditions and ink settlement agreements with all the governments in the region). We witness protests in other countries in the region. We also witness that Turkey is changing. The peace agreement with Egypt still stands. There are no military repercussions on Israel." He is trying to reassure.

In another place outgoing Israeli Chief of Staff (Gabi) Ashkenazi says: "The radical camp is mushrooming, and the circle of confrontation is becoming larger. However we are ready for the various kinds of threats. The radical camp is getting stronger. There are signs much prior to Egypt such as what is taking place in Lebanon and Turkey. Iran is behind most of the financing, arming, training and equipping of most of the terrorist movements in the region and not only here." He added: "The reasons behind that is the weakness of the moderate camp (the system we talked about a while ago) and the traditional Arab leadership. That also goes to a different interpretation of the US power in the region". This is the current Israeli status quo.

As for the Lebanese issue, I would like to tell you the following: Days ago a farewell ceremony was held for Ashkenazi during which he talked about his achievements in the army. He said that he organized the army during the past three years in a way that prevents the flops that took place during Lebanon War II and Gaza War. So the Chief of Staff who made the new army reconstruction acknowledged that there were flops in Lebanon War II and Gaza War though they used to talk about Gaza War as a great achievement for the Zionists.

What are they talking about? The debate was always whether Israel would occupy Lebanon or not. The greatest achievement made by the Resistance is that it complicated the possibility of Israel occupying Lebanon or southern Lebanon. Brothers and sisters! Today there is a real debate in Israel and a true worry: Is the Resistance able to occupy north Palestine and control the Galilee region? Thus the Israeli Chief of Staff is obliged to make reassurances or else he is not obliged to go that far and evoke this issue and make reassurances.

The incoming Chief of Staff Benny Gantz made his first visit to the borders. On Monday he was appointed and on Tuesday he visited the borders with Lebanon accompanied with Barak to stretch muscles. What did Barak say? I am a bit specialized in Barak as with his five squads' issue. Barak told the soldiers: You must be ready because in case of war, the leadership might order you to enter Lebanon again. I want to tell Barak, Ashkenazi and Benny Gantz and I will use Barak's very terminology: On the anniversary of Sayyed Abbass, Sheikh Ragheb and Hajj Imad I tell the fighters in the Islamic Resistance: Be ready in case a war on Lebanon might be launched, the leadership of the Resistance might order you to control Galilee (In other words, liberate Galilee). I tell Ashkenazi that you are wrong in your evaluations and predictions. For thirty years you were wrong in your predictions with respect to confronting the Resistance. You were wrong when you killed Sheikh Ragheb. You were wrong when you killed Sayyed Abbass. You are confessing now that you were wrong. You were wrong when you killed Hajj Imad. You will discover that you committed an absolute stupidity. You were wrong when you insisted on confronting a country and a people who is determined to defend their dignity and honor by the blood of their dearest youth – a people whose slogan was carved deep back in history: Disgrace, how remote!

There are people in the enemy entity who are practical and realistic.

They do not hide before their fingers. Perhaps last year on this very day, I talked about airports and ports. The brethrens told me today that the first manager of Homa anti-rocket Project in the Israeli defense ministry whose name is Ozi Robeen – who is one of the developers of Alihitz system and the spying satellite and who is considered as one of the senior experts in anti-rocket defense system (so he is an expert who is specialized in this domain and knows what rockets, anti-rockets, distance and tactics mean in addition to all other details) – made an advice to the enemy leaderships. Listen what does he says. Here I say that this is what protects Lebanon. In fact this is what now protects even more than Lebanon. What does this man say? He says: "Hezbollah can close Israel’s airports, ports, power stations and strategic stations. I only hope the Israeli people will have good shelters". His only hope is that the Israeli people may have good shelters.

There is another point under the Israeli title: the assassination of Hajj Imad. This blood is still purchasing them. Worry and fear is still having control over them in their entity and abroad especially whenever the anniversary approaches. I will not go into details. However I would like to assure you that this still stands, and this decision will be executed Inshallah in the right time and within the right aim. I tell the Zionist leaders and generals: Be careful wherever you went around. You must always make sure that you are still alive because the blood of Imad Mughniyeh’s will not go to waste.....and we know full well that he was assassinated by Asef Shawkat's MI goons in Kfarsoussa, courtesy of the Infamous White House Murder INC, in the Levant, under Asef Shawkat's criminal leadership since January 24th 2002.....

We in Lebanon in confrontation with Israel have made justice and achieved stability. We have made justice in both its phases to a very great degree (I will not say to the maximum). The resistance movements from all the Lebanese forces and parties along with fighters and martyrs from the Palestinian factions could restore the right to its owners. So with the blessing of the blood of these martyrs, the people of Bint Jbeil returned to Bint Jbeil, the people of Jizine returned to Jizine, the people of Marjoun also as well as the people of Hasbayeh returned to their villages. The land, fields and houses were returned to their owners. The land returned to national sovereignty.

This is one phase of justice. This was not achieved by the Security Council, America, international resolutions or anyone. It is rather the Lebanese and their Palestinian brethrens in Lebanon who could achieve this phase of justice with the support of Syria and Iran.

The second phase of justice was achieved when many of the criminals were killed in the confrontation field. On of these criminals was the Israeli leader in the Lebanese territories Gerstein who was succeeded by Benny Gantz – the incoming Chief of Staff. This is to let you know who the Chief of Staff is. For the last year or two in Lebanon he was the head of the Israeli troops and the actual leader of the Lebanese Southern Army (Antoine Lahd's Army). It was he who was defeated. It was he who witnessed the defeat. It was he who pulled his troops in that humiliating scene. It was he who locked the gate between Lebanon and Occupied Palestine. So they appointed as a Chief of Staff someone who is already absolutely humiliated. He knows what Lebanon means, what southern Lebanon means and what the Resistance means. He was also the head of the land branch in the Israeli Army in July War 2006 which failed to break into Aita and Bint Jbeil. He is one of the leaders of the Israeli defeat in July War, and he has a long experience and knows what does Lebanon mean.

We established justice with both its phases. The first phase is restoring the right to its owners and the second phase is punishing some of these criminals on the land through the act of Resistance. Thus we established stability. Since May 25, 2000 till the eve of July 12, 2006 – i.e. for almost six years the south, western Bekaa and Lebanon enjoyed a state of stability unequaled for 60 years. This stability was the result of the existence, act and embracement of the Resistance. The war (July war) was a special project which has its own conduct and targets. It was part of a project schemed for the region but failed.

Following the war, from August 15th till today, the Army, the Resistance and the people are securing stability unequaled for decades.

So the Resistance is what makes stability and justice when integrated with the Army and the people. With this embracement we make justice and stability. We protect our land and borders and we do not protect the enemy's borders. Now I do not want to go into a debate which some resort to in bargains. Today what protects Lebanon is this balance after all these experiences.

Turning to the Lebanese internal issues, it goes without saying that in the next few weeks there are many important events to take place. There are several topics that are always evoked again and again which I will mention briefly in the available time.

As for the weapons of the Resistance, we have noticed from the speeches we heard so far that what remains of March 14 Camp is determined to bring up the issue of the Resistance weapons again.

Actually, they have never abandoned evoking this issue even after the Army-People-Resistance balance was written in the ministerial statement. There is no problem. It was said that this is a point of national disagreement. That's true. We never claimed it is a point of national consensus. Today I say again it's a point of national disagreement. It was as such from the very beginning. It was as such before 1982 and after 1982. I do not want to tackle the pre-1982 era. However after 1982 and in the wake of the Israeli invasion in 1982, there was national disagreement on the issue of the Resistance.

Brothers, weapons are just a detail. The essential dispute is over the issue of Resistance. Weapons are but a detail in the issue of the Resistance. We differ in Lebanon. We used to disagree and still disagree over the option of Resistance. This is the truth. By the way, that is not a source of condemnation to the Resistance. On the contrary, that's a cause of condemnation for those who since 1982 frustrated, betrayed, criticized and back-stabbed the Resistance. It's a shame on them and not on the Resistance. Some in the other party wanted to put as a clause in May 17 Agreement that limits the number of soldiers from the Lebanese Army who are allowed to enter the South, the quantity of their equipments, the kind of weapons they are allowed to use just like Camp David. Today we heard sad news which says that Israel allowed more troops from the Egyptian Army to go to Sinai. What is the reason behind that? It's so that they protect the gas networks that transfers the Egyptian gas to Israel. That means that if the Egyptian Army wanted to dispatch more troops to Sinai which is their own land for which they offered the elite among their officers and youths as martyrs, they need permission from the Israelis according to Camp David.

It was demanded from this elite which is part of the other bloc on May 17 to agree that if the Lebanese government wanted to take a decision to dispatch a battalion or two or to increase its troops in the South or to send a definite kind of artilleries or weapons to take permission from the enemy's government!

But due to the act of Resistance, the Lebanese government can now meet and decide to dispatch 50 thousand soldiers to the South and the Israelis can't say one word. The government can send any kind of weapons to the South. It can move as it finds fit in the South. The freedom we achieved in the South is absolute, high-esteemed and sublime. It is a freedom which we deserve because of the blood of the martyrs and not due to agreements, submissions and humiliating negotiations. Yes we disagree over the option of Resistance and the arms of the Resistance. If anyone was in the past years lying and maneuvering let him say I do not want to lie anymore. We will be grateful as that would be excellent. Let everyone say what is in his heart. Let everyone say his true stance as this is an issue of national disagreement.

In the past, we agreed to share in the national dialogue to tackle the defensive strategy. If your stance on the Resistance and the Resistance arms is final and decisive, then you tell us what the use of the national dialogue is. In fact we consider that our very sharing and acceptance of the national dialogue was a great concession on our behalf for the sake of uniting the country and openness to address our crises through dialogue and communication. So this issue is decisive. Well, let's not trouble His Excellence the President and the political leaders every two or three months. What do you need this dialogue for? Let's be through with it. However if people were ready for dialogue, we are always ready for dialogue because we are people of logic, evidence and a strategy which has proven all through history its validity, precision and soundness.

If you believe that daily speeches and statements might harm the Resistance and the arms of the Resistance, you are troubling yourselves because the issue is final though you have troubled us for six years by now. Today, the situation in the whole region is changing. O young men! Read very well and see what is taking place around you. The Israelis are reading. It is beneficial that all people read about what is taking place in the region. Insisting on getting engaged in this battle and turning it into one of the three topics of the new Opposition is insisting in getting engaged in a losing frustrating fruitless battle. That's what I want to say and it's up to you to do whatever you want to do.

Now I will move to the second topic – the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. It goes without saying that we assert again that all of us in Lebanon want the truth and justice, and we assert that justice is a condition for stability. However after all these years and all what we have seen, I will make a quiet call for the leaderships of the other bloc and its masses also: Does the path of the international investigation and the STL lead to the truth and consequently to justice? That's because the condition of justice is knowing the truth. First we must reveal the truth and on the light of the truth we establish justice. When we establish justice we secure stability. Does the path of the investigation lead to the truth?

We have seen the file of false witnesses from some of its perspectives. We listened to the way the investigation was conducted and managed. We have seen how it is an absolutely political investigation. The dialogue is absolutely political. This has no place in courts. This investigation took a definite path from the very first day. They did everything to drift the path in this direction. Many were done injustice against in this path. Then they moved it in another direction. Does this path - which is based on false witnesses, politicization, investment, avoiding other possibilities and judging before investigation and even before issuing accusation – lead to the truth? We are concerned as Lebanese – if we were committed to the truth - to discuss this issue and see if there is another path that leads to the truth. Yes, there is. If we sat and have discussion we will reach there. However you wasted this chance. When the national dialogue was headed by Speaker Nabih Berri and when the STL was evoked, we agreed and said that we are with the principle of the STL – the principle. In fact that was to respect the Lebanese nature, to show commitment to the Lebanese internal situation and to unite the Lebanese internal atmosphere and not because we were convinced with the STL and its fairness. However we clearly said that the special law of the STL must be discussed to achieve guarantees of justice and guarantees for revealing the truth. All the Lebanese know how the STL was smuggled. So from the very first day, there was a decision take the STL from its very foundation, structure and action towards a clear politicized direction. No one is allowed to make arguments to get guarantees of justice.

If you want to proceed with the STL that has ignored all but one possibility and which is rife with false witnesses, leakage, politicization and corruption also; then go ahead. If in your opinion that leads to the truth, if what the indictment or trials in absentia announce is the truth, then act according to this truth. On the other hand, we will act on the light of what we absolutely believe is oppression. However, I whole-heartedly say that this path does not lead to truth and does not achieve justice.

The third point in the Lebanese internal affairs is the government and what took place recently. What the other camp has been subject to is the result of mistakes they did. However, it is unfortunate that the mistakes they talk about are not the true mistakes. Their true mistakes are something else. They know very well that they did mistakes but they are uncertain about the mistakes they did. What took place is first the result of mistakes made by the other bloc and also a result of what the great project for the region has been subject to. The other bloc were part of the new conservatives (their dear friend Bolton and the administration of George Bush). There was a project attacking Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Lebanon and the Palestinians in Gaza. It was a project of hegemony and control, and they are part of this project and system. This is not to accuse them of betrayal or anything else. These are actual facts. Everyone knows the relation of this bloc with Feltman, Bolton and the former and current US administration. What is the relation of this bloc with the US system in the region and the regime of ousted Husni Mubarak? When there is a project which is collapsing and falling, it is natural that the adjoining parts would feel weak and feeble. Why are you surprised? Whoever wants to make a revision must view the issue as a whole. The US system which they worked as a part of is disintegrating and collapsing. It is natural then that there is a kind of weakness and collapsing. I call on them to review and make a realistic reading for the developments and not to blunder in identifying what is right and what is wrong. Much of what I heard from them and they supposed are mistakes were not mistakes. The mistakes are other things.

We must return to the roots to discover the true mistakes. The first of these mistakes is being part of the US project in the region, and the biggest of these mistakes is being part of the US system in the region while the greatest of these mistakes is linking the fate of Lebanon to the fate of the US policies in the region. Moreover, one of the greatest of these mistakes is bullying our people and country with America, the West, the Security Council and the international resolutions as they are doing now. That means that they will perpetrate the very mistake again. That means let's go to America and make provocations in America – though America is stuffed with provocations. Let's also provoke France, the West, Britain, the European Union and the various Arab capitals – though most of them are now busy with their inner affairs – against PM Najeeb Mikati and the new government. Let's convince the whole world that this is the government of Hezbollah and Iran and Wilayat Al Faqih. (Alas, it's not!)

The very confrontation in principle was based on lying and oppression. They went back to the very previous mistakes. Do you know why the other bloc is feeling feeble and weak? It is because they are lying and being oppressive. They lie on themselves and on their masses and on the world. They know that this government is not that of Hezbollah. They are negotiating with PM Mikati and know everything that is taking place with PM Mikati. All the Lebanese and the foreign ambassadors also know that PM Mikati talks with Hezbollah as he talks with the heads of the other parliamentary blocs and political forces and that the man owns his own decision. He says yes, and he says no; I accept this and I do not accept that; this is appropriate while that is not. This is the truth.

When you are oppressive against the man, you are harming the position of premiership. You are doing harm to the position of premiership. You accuse the man that he is affiliated to Hezbollah while he is not affiliated to Hezbollah. You accuse Hezbollah of forming the government while Hezbollah is not forming the government. Was Hezbollah forming the government, it would have been formed from the very first couple of days.

That means that the means you are resorting to are not fair, honorable and sound. Now does dragging foreign US, western and European pressure on the government of PM Mikati comes to the interest of the nation? Why do you want to bully the government with the whole world? Is it for the sake of the weapons of the Resistance? Does that mean that if you bullied the government with the whole world you will be through with the arms of the Resistance? I have just told you a while ago that you would be troubling yourself to no avail. What would you do more than the Security Council and Resolution 1559, the US which was invading the country and July War? What will you do? This issue is over. Why do you want to bully the government with the whole world? Now let's be optimistic. They want to use US and western pressure on the US government to achieve political, fiscal and administrative reforms. That might be possible. They want to do so to confiscate the wealth of those who robbed the money of the Lebanese all through the past years. That might be possible too as is the case with other Arab countries. They want to reveal the truth concerning the fate of the 11 billion dollars or to address the Lebanese living crises. The former government was given one full year, but they are not ready to give PM Najeeb Mikati one full day! The former national unity government was given one full year, what did that government do and what did its head do? He used to fly from one country to another. How is it possible to run the administration of Lebanon while living like princes? That's impossible. Lebanon needs a premier and ministers in a government in its seat in Beirut to listen to people and address their problems, to feel their pains, poverty, deprivation and living crises. Lebanon needs a government that makes the people feel it is with them for better and for worse. Lebanon needs a government that makes the Army feel that it is with it and by its side in Adeisseh confrontation, and not always "taking rides". Every Lebanese is looking forward to a serious government, to a government which is fit of being responsible, to a government that undertakes all these missions and cases, to a government that listens to the people and not to ambassadors, and to a government that listens to the residences of Akkar, the North, Mount Lebanon, the South, Bekaa and Beirut and not to Feltman, Bolton, Connelly and other ambassadors. This is what we are looking forward to. They will show up and say this is an illusionary majority. Well, for four years we remained saying illusionary majority and we couldn't do anything. So say whatever you want. I used to say illusionary majority and you really were an illusionary majority. Today the current majority is the real one and the parliamentary majority has returned to the popular majority that was achieved in 2009. Today the parliamentary majority coincided with the popular majority.

However, this argument leads no where. There is a designate premier. There is a government that will be formed. Will we be able to achieve through the new majority a government of this kind? This is what we must seek and care for. Much of the complications mentioned in newspapers are invalid. It is normal that any Lebanese government to be formed is in fact divided between Muslims, Christians and other sects and factions. It is also divided into portfolios which also vary in categorization. We are not concerned about that. The delay so far is related to the other bloc which is supposed to say its final word. That means that the designate PM still hopes that other forces might partake. We always care for having a national unity government. If there are people who want confrontation and want to bring about America, the west and fleets – if there are still fleets that might come for their sake – they are free. After all, in principle a national unity country must be formed. If that is impossible, it is also impossible that the country remains without a government. If this point is finalized, the parliamentary blocs and the other political forces which advocated charging PM Najeeb Mikati must make effort during the coming period of time to address this issue so that a serious government which assumes its responsibilities is formed in Lebanon. We look forward to the formation of such a government so that it would assume its responsibilities.

In fact, on the 16th of February of every year, we recall the anniversary of these great leaders from whom we learnt to be patient and tolerant on one hand, determined, strong-willed, courageous and powerful on the other hand and willing to offer sacrifices and give with no limits from our blood and esteem thirdly.

Today, surely we are in a stage in which we address our leader martyrs and all our martyrs saying that your chaste blood, and industrious jihad have – Praise be to Allah – led us to the era of victories. Since we knew you, listened to you, witnessed your jihad and smelled your chaste blood which was shed for the sake of the holiest cause we ushered into the era of victories and closed behind us the doors of the era of defeat....

معركة بناء دولة الحقوق و القانون

حان الوقت لتيار الأوادم في لبنان أن يُعبّر عن نفسه و ينخرط بطريقة فعّالة في معركة بناء دولة الحقوق و القانون. نحن نتكلّم هنا عن الأوادم اللذين لا يزالون حتى وقتنا هذا يلتزمون الصمت و الحياد بينما غيرهم، و هم كُثُر، يُناضلون كي يتحرّروا من عقد الماضي و ما فيه من أخطاء و مخالفات. لا يجب أن نرضى من الآن فصاعداً عن الواقع المهترئ الذي أصبح هو القاعدة في الممارسات السياسية و الإجتماعية و الإقتصادية. فحذاري من هذا الواقع إذ أن البعض يعتبرنا شعباً غبيّاً إعتاد على النمط السيئ في إدارة البلاد، فتمّ تدجينه على هذا الأساس. فهل حقاً نحن كذلك؟

مسؤولية الأوادم الصامتين ترتّب عليهم أن يضموا أصواتهم و أفعالهم إلى تلك التي يُجاهر بها كل يوم قائد و عماد أخذ على عاتقه منذ عودته من المنفى إلى الوطن عبء التغيير و الإصلاح مُتحمّلاً كل أنواع التجريح الشخصي و تشويه السمعة. فهل ندعه يناضل لوحده؟ الجواب هو حتماً كلاّ. إنتفاضة الأوادم الصامتين أصبحت حاجة ملحّة كي يستقيم العيش في وطن الأرز بدل أن نيأس و ننتحب و نهاجر. إنها مسؤولية وطنية كبرى تقع على عاتقنا كلّنا.

و لكن كيف نفعل ذلك أو بالأحرى كيف نحثّ الأوادم الصامتين على أخذ المبادرة بدل أن يتلقّوها من أولئك اللذين جرّبناهم لسنينٍ طويلة و برهنوا عن فشلهم. الإنتفاضة برأينا تبنى على المبادئ و الأفعال التالية:

• على الأوادم الصامتين أولاً أن يتكلّموا جهارةً و يظهروا علناً في كافة وسائل الإعلام لرفض اللامنطق الذي يريدون أن يفرضوه علينا. بعد أن اعترفوا أن هنالك شهود زور ضلّلوا التحقيق في جريمة إغتيال الرئيس الشهيد رفيق الحريري و الإغتيالات اللاحقة الأخرى، يريدون منّا أن نمتنع عن مسائلتهم و التحقيق معهم. إذا قُلِبَت الأدوار و لو للحظة و كانوا هم مكاننا الآن، هل كانوا ليقبلوا بأن يتمّ التعتيم على قضية محورية كهذه تساعد العدالة على تبيان الحقيقة التي لا يزال يطالب بها كلّ الشعب اللبناني؟

• على الأوادم الصامتين ثانياً أن يعبّروا عن إستيائهم في أحاديثهم اليومية و مناسباتهم العامة من التصاريح اللامبالية الصادرة عن أكبر مرجع ديني مسيحي في لبنان عندما قال جواباً على سؤال أحد الصحفيين أنه لم يقرأ رسالة العماد عون إلى قداسة البابا بعد أسبوع كامل من نشرها بينما كان هو شخصياً يتوجّه إلى الفاتيكان ليشارك في السينودس. هل يعقل هذا الكلام؟ هل يساهم هذا الكلام في توحيد الرؤيا و الثوابت لدى المسيحيين؟ ما نفع هذه المواقف المنحازة لهذا المرجع الديني سوى تأجيج الحقد و الأحباط؟ عادةً ما يكون الجواب على أسئلتنا أن لهذا المرجع الحق في أن يكون له رأي و مواقف في الحياة السياسية. ردنا هو أن هذا الأمرً صحيح و مشروع و لكن يترتّب عليه عواقب يتحمّلها هو وحده، منها أنّه لا يستطيع أن يكون في هذه الحالة راعياً للجميع بل راعياً لفئة واحدة حتى ولو أغضبه كلامنا هذا.

• على الأوادم الصامتين ثالثاً أن يفضحوا إلى العلن عملية تسييس المحكمة الدولية التي أصبحت مكشوفة في الإعلام بدل أن تحافظ على سرية عملها. لا يجب أن ننسى كيف أن التحقيق إتّهم سوريا لمدّة أربع سنوات فقامت القيامة عليها و ولد الحقد بين الدولتين و الشعبين، فإذا به بسحرٍ ساحر يبرّئ ساحتها و يستهدف حزباً لبنانياً لأغراضٍ مشبوهة لا تخدم الكيان اللبناني و مصالحه. ماذا يضمن لنا أللا تكون هذه المحاكمة مبنية على شهودٍ زور جدد يتمّ الإعتراف لاحقاً بأنّهم ضلّلوا التحقيق فيكون حينئذٍ من ضرب ضرب و من هرب هرب. أهكذا تكون مصداقية المحاكم الدولية خاصةً أننا كنّا كلنا معها؟ كنّا ننتظر منها على الأقلّ نفياً قاطعاً و رسمياً لكلّ الإشاعات التي طالتها؛ فإذا بها ترضى ضمناً بكلّ التسريبات و الإطلالات الهوليودية لبعض أركانها أو حلفائها من الدول بغية جسّ النبض و زيادة التوتّر الداخلي.

• على الأوادم الصامتين رابعاً أن يجابهوا بجرأة المحاولات الملتوية لدى البعض لتغطية قطع الحسابات المالية الخاطئة لدولة تراكم دينها حتى بلغ في سنة 2010 أكثر من 60 مليار دولار أميركي. و عندما تبدأ بطرح الأسئلة تُتّهم بأنّك ضد كرامة و عنفوان طائفة لبنانية عزيزة و يصوّرك إعلام الغباء و الكذب أنّك خائن أو عميل للفتنة. ما هذا المنطق الأعوج؟ لو قلبت الأدوار هنا أيضاً و كنا نحن على رأس وزارة المال كل هذه المدة و حصل ما حصل، لما سأل أصحاب مقولة الخيانة هذه نفس الأسئلة التي نطرحها نحن؟

• على الأوادم الصامتين خامساً أن يتصدّوا لبعض وسائل الإعلام التي لا عمل لها سوى الشتيمة و تزوير الحقائق و البروباغندا الكاذبة و هي للأسف تدّعي أنّها في طليعة الوسائل إنتشاراً و شعبيّة. على الأوادم الصامتين أن يصرخوا بوجهها إنّها لا تمثلهم بعد الآن، و على الإعلاميين الأوادم أن يبرهنوا أن لا دور لها. لقد حان الوقت لوسائل الإعلام أن تتحرّر من قبضة الفاسدين و المُرتشين فتكون حقاً هي السلطة الرابعة التي تنتقد الأداء بإيجابية و تدعو إلى التغيير و الإصلاح بدل أن تدافع عن الفساد.

• على الأوادم الصامتين أخيراً أن يدخلوا بفعالية معركة مكافحة الفساد في كافة المجالات فيبدأ بنفسه أولاً ثم بعائلته ثم بمدارس و جامعات مجتمعه و أخيراً بعمله. دعونا نقول للفاسدين أننا شعبٌ ذكي و ثقافتنا تقوم على القِيَم و الأخلاق. لآ يجب أن ننسى أن الفساد يتغذى من مالنا الخاص هذا الذي نكسبه كلّ يوم من عرق جبيننا و ندفعه للدولة كي يتحسّن أداءها في الخدمة العامة. لا تدعوا عملية التدجين المبرمجة التي تكلمنا عنها سابقاً تقودكم و تملي عليكم تصرّفاتكم. ما من مجتمع تطوّر و لم يُصلِح نفسه.

هذا هو تيّار الأوادم العريض الذي نطمح إليه في لبنان. دعوتنا المخلصة إلى الصامتين و المحايدين منهم أن ينخرطوا أو يناصروا أو يساندوا مسيرة التغيير و الإصلاح التي بدأت سنة 2005 بقيادة العماد ميشال عون و تياره الوطني الحرّ و تكتّله النيابي. هذه المسيرة لا تزال تشق طريقها وسط أمواج عاتية و عراقيل كبيرة و لن يكتب لها في النهاية إلاّ النجاح. فكونوا أنتم أيضاً معنا ممن ساهم في إنجازها بدل أن تكونوا ممن تفرّج عليها. عندها نستطيع أن نقول للعماد عون أللا يخاف لأن جمهور التغيير و الإصلاح في لبنان اصبح أكبر بكثير من جمهور الفساد

As to our dear Lebanon...

Our “enemies” are the men of the cloth and the political feudal lords....

The traditional ruling class in Lebanon must go , each and every single one of them if the country is to have a chance at catching up with the rest of the world and of establishing a free, civil democratic society. I guess that I would like to make it clear than in the Lebanon that I know it is not sufficient to oppose a political wing but it is equally important to oppose all of the established politicians. Our problem is systemic and as such it cannot be saved by more of the same.... The traditional feudalistic-religious alliance is the problem and so it cannot be part of the solution. The calls that emanate every once in a while from these leaders for so called reform this and reform that ought to be rejected since these are efforts aimed at solidifying their hold at the system by only offering meaningless palliatives disguised to confuse the electorate and promote the interests of the ruling hierarchy....

Lebanon has been through a so called reform after 1958, after the lengthy civil war , after the so called Dardar "W" revolution....and after Doha... None of these efforts bore meaningful fruits for the real citizens who are still as voiceless as ever. Actually these continuous efforts at reinventing themselves is a reminder of the popular Karl Marx statement is response to Hegel's explanation that history repeats itself. Marx said:”First as tragedy and then as farce” and someone added” the farce is often more deadly than the tragedy”. When will we learn that our “enemies” are the men of the cloth and the political feudal lords....and the 40 odd foreign Intelligence services roaming freely all over our sacred Land of the Cedars.....for decades....

The US Government is utterly corrupt beyond redemption ....

Jubilation was heard in Tel Aviv as Haaretz, the Israeli daily, boasted November 6th: “Obama kick-starts transition, picks Israeli Rahm Emanuel as chief of staff.”

Best known for his fundraising prowess among wealthy Jewish Democrats, the naming of Emanuel as the first presidential appointment echoes Sarah Palin’s famous one-liner, “I love Israel.” That claim was voiced in her vice-presidential debate with Joe Biden who is featured on a YouTube video famously proclaiming, “I am a Zionist.”

In sharp contrast to Obama’s claim that the invasion of Iraq was a mistake, Emanuel claims he would do it again today. As chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, he directed party funds to pro-invasion candidates and recruited candidates to oppose anti-war Democrats.

Known in Washington as an outspoken pro-Israel hardliner, he joins Speaker Nancy Pelosi in bringing to the Middle East peace process a record of support for Tel Aviv’s targeted assassinations of Palestinian political leaders. (”Pelosi supports Israel’s attacks on Hamas group,” San Francisco Chronicle, June 14, 2003).

Those who sought a break with pro-Israel policies can look forward to an “assistant president” who is the son of a Jerusalem-born member of the Irgun, a Zionist-terrorist group active in Palestine from 1931-1948. Born an Israeli due to his father’s dual Israeli-U.S. citizenship, Emanuel relinquished his Israeli citizenship when he turned 18 but not his fierce allegiance to the Zionist state.

As chair of the Democratic Caucus and fourth ranking in the House leadership, Rahm Israel Emanuel escorted Barack Obama to a June 2008 board meeting of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) just after the candidate proclaimed Israel’s security “sacrosanct.”

In 1984, Emanuel and David Axelrod (Obama’s senior campaign strategist in 2008) worked alongside AIPAC on a campaign to unseat Illinois Senator Charles Percy who was then chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. That electoral success followed a victorious AIPAC-directed campaign in 1982 when Springfield attorney Richard Durbin was recruited to oppose Paul Findley, an 11-term Congressman. Findley learned too late the political costs visited on U.S. policy-makers who challenge the Israeli-fication of U.S. foreign policy.

Durbin was just elected to his third term in the Senate where he serves as assistant majority leader. He shares a house in Washington with New York’s Charles Schumer, third in the Senate leadership and one of 13 Jewish Senators (up from 11). Durbin and Schumer are junior to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada. A Zionist-inclined Mormon (also known as “the Lost Tribe of Israel”), Reid concedes his admiration for the Israel lobby: “I can’t think of a policy organization in the country as well-organized and respected.”

Emanuel’s rapport with AIPAC’s extensive campaign-financing network enabled Bill Clinton to amass a record-breaking $72 million in 1992. Those funds helped his fledgling presidential candidacy weather the media storm over the Jennifer Flowers sex scandal and a controversy over his Vietnam-era draft status. Emanuel’s aggressive pro-Israel fundraising strategy also drained funds from rival Paul Tsongas who soon withdrew, citing a shortage of funds. Emanuel then served for five years as a senior strategist for the Clinton White House before joining investment bankers Wasserstein Perella where he became managing director of the Chicago office.

Of the nine Democratic members of the Illinois delegation elected in 2002, Emanuel was the only one to support the October 2002 Congressional resolution authorizing war in Iraq. In the course of winning his 2008 race with 74% of the vote, Emanuel was the topmost House recipient of campaign contributions from hedge funds, private equity firms and the securities industry.

Known since childhood as a “convinced Zionist,” Emanuel and his brothers attended summer camp in Israel. During the 1991 Gulf War, he joined the Israel Defense Forces as a civilian volunteer (akin to a reservist) where he worked in a motor pool repairing trucks. Operating as an adjunct to the Israel lobby as both a fundraiser and a member of Congress, Emanuel has long served as a loyal sayanim (Hebrew for “volunteer”) in support of policies pursued by Tel Aviv.

Those who voted for the candidate of change may be surprised to see a change in party but not in policy. Their candidate may also be induced to make decisions that undermine his presidency and discredit his commitment to change. Emanuel served as senior White House adviser on strategy for Clinton-era health care reform. The spectacular failure of that first-term initiative brought a speedy end to the legislative momentum of the last administration that sought change.

In parsing the message signaled by this first selection, is this high-profile appointment a hopeful sign of change in U.S. foreign policy? Or is it meant to appease Israel? Is Rahm Israel Emanuel a harbinger of change Americans can believe in? Or is his appointment a sign the fix is in?

“A group of investigators, attorneys and concerned citizens from across the country have come together, calling themselves “Concerned Americans.” They are requesting that anyone with information of any criminal misconduct regarding; former President George Bush, former FloridaGovernor Jeb Bush, former VP Dick Cheney, former White House adviser Karl Rove, former US Congressman Tom Feeney, former US Attorney Greg Miller, Assistant US Attorney Len Register, former Florida Attorney General and current Governor Charlie Crist, FBI Supervisor Matt Pellegrino, and any Valdosta Police official relating to the death of Raymond C. Lemme in Valdosta, Georgia back in 2003, is encouraged to make immediate contact with them.

You’ll recall that Ray Lemme had reportedly met with Clint Curtis, a Yang Industries programmer at the time who was asked by Tom Feeney to develop a program that would enable him to covertly change electronic election results. Once Curtis discovered what was going on, he reported it to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, who answers direct to FL Gov. Jeb Bush, who did nothing about it. Curtis passed a polygraph test given by a retired Florida Department of Law Enofrcement examiner – and Feeney refused to take one. Further, in addition to massive over billing to the FL Department of Transportation by Yang Industries, reportedly approved by FL Gov. Jeb Bush, Lemme had discovered millions of dollars being illegally “laundered” through the FL Turnpike System from foreign countries, reportedly en route to the Republican National Committee. The FL Turnpike Commission’s director had been appointed by and answered to … Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

This group of “Concerned Americans” has reportedly located witnesses who have relevant information regarding the Lemme death case. New evidence has reportedly been given to trusted officials in Washington DC. In addition to working on the death/murder of FL DOT Inspector General Investigator Ray Lemme, they are reportedly working on all the corruption issues that Lemme had uncovered before FL Gov. Jeb Bush reportedly shut down Lemme9 9s investigation – with no explanation being given to the FL DOT officials. Lemme refused to stop investigating the public corruption he had told others that went all the way … “to the top,” and two weeks later, Lemme was found dead in Valdosta, Georgia under extremely suspicious circumstances.

The Valdosta Police deemed it to be a suicide and immediately cremated the body. No autopsy was conducted – even though there was evidence that Lemme had been strangled as can be seen in crime scene pictures the police said were never developed due to a camera malfunction. Crime scene pictures were reportedly obtained secretly from the Valdosta Police. The evidence that has been uncovered to date reportedly shows that Lemme’s death is very suspicious. The group of “Concerned Americans,” believes an autopsy should have been conducted and the body should have been saved for further forensic examination. The “Concerned Americans” have members who have worked death/murder crime scene investigations. They believe their evidence substantiates their position that Lemme was murdered. The cremation of Lemme’s body served only one purpose – and that was to cover up the crime by law enforcement officials.

If you have any evidence regarding the death of Ray Lemme, RNC money-laundering and/or any evidence showing corruption within the Valdosta Police Department, please contact the “Concerned Americans” immediately.
